Wink    hello to everybody.  Rage barks a hello to his paw friends.  Everything is great here except the weather...LOL       Sorry I have not been in touch for a short while .....   Rage is great and loving all the attention he gets in our small town...  Would like some advice on a swim vest that can be weighted to aid in balance for a front amp.  He rolls over due to the weight and has a lot of trouble finding his feet.  Hope to be able to take Rage for a nice swim.  I have seen the ruff wear Jackets and would like some help with advice.....  Cheers Rage and Lee   Bye for now......

Lee, thanks for the update! And keeping it in your original post too, it really helps for people to keep track of Rage's progress. So glad to hear he's doing so well. We would love to see him swim too.

Regarding the swim vest...the Ruffwear Float Coat is AWESOME. It worked wonders for Jerry. There was no need to weight it down, it kept him sufficiently buoyant and his head above water at all times. Check it out!

Hi Jerry I have seen the video and I have to admit that my tripawd is not quie as smart as your tripawd, (MMM dont tell Rage) Rage never swam before the amp. and has decided he would like to. He is not able to swim at all, he rolls over and is submereged with legs in the air. Not at all good, for his lungs or confidence. Rage avoided the water at all times before the op. and I think he has not got his water wings yet.He has no balance at all, I thought that a counter balance would assist in helping him stay upright. The Ruffwear Vest looks great but I am worried about Rages lack of balance. Any advice would be helpful...thanks Rage (the submarine) and Lee

The vest should help keep Rage upright in the water. You might want to contact this Australian Ruff Wear dealer and ask what they think. Unfortunately, Ruff Wear doesn't ship directly to Australia for us, so as much as we'd love to have you order one here, please don't.

Hi Lee & Rage,

Gosh, it's so good to hear from you and Rage and to know that everyone is doing so well.  I hope that if you order that harness it works out for you.  Thanks for writing and giving us an update!

Here is brave Rage,   what can I say??  He is so happy to be hopping around. You can really see how happy he is, look at that cheeky smile...

Rage has a little bit of boxer in him I think and loves to stretch out and give that belly a scratch...

He has perfected many new ways of doing things and always makes me laugh at how he figures out how to do things like DIGGING... I watched him one day, he was busy trying to hide that bone from his house pals ' the cats ,'  he soon had that juicy morsel under the ground.  He just got that mighty front paw and and without any trouble or falling over  (which he does occasionally LOL,  cruel to laugh- not at all ! ! !,  I get laughed at when I fall over.)    made sure that his snack would be safe till it was cooked abit (sounds nicer than rots a bit ughhhhhh...Way Confused)

Thanks to all assured us that all will be ok....bless this site and all the helpful and friendly people here....it would have been a very.. very stressfull and worrying journey without the support and reassurance that was so important..I also wish to thank the people that created this wonderful web site and all the handy links that go into giving more information and support also.. especially the vet site in which you can post a question..well worth the a few little dollars.

More photos are on the way...

Best wishes to all

Rage and Lee

Hey, you got that right! Humor is definitely a necessity during the tripawds journey.

So glad to hear Rage is loving life. I know about that front paw dig...it's hard work but so worth it for us, and for our humans to watch in amazement!

Now that is a beautiful and classic Australian cattle dog. Do all tripawds living down under do so well? What is it about the place? I have an idea - let's all move to Australia! We can start a new town, called something like Tripawton

Everyone has said what I am thinking.  First of all, what a wonderful thing you do for Rage.  I admit I would have been scared.  You sure have given him a good home!  Secondly, welcome to tripawds.  I agree with you that there are wonderful people on this site.  They got me through it too!  Finally, Rage is really cute.  I think that he is probably scary lookig but hearing how sweet he is makes me see cute!

Good luck and enjoy your baby.  You will be in my prayers.
