Austin knew there was no such thing as "good bye because he knows he is nestled permanently in your heart.  Besides,  he knows  he will reconnect with you  at the Rainbow Bridge some day

Your ears will come in waves and hit you like a ton of bricks sometimes.   But the times inbetween eill soon be longer and longer and the tears will be replaced with all the happy memories.

I loved that you mentioned Austin's energy.....because that's  what we all are.  And when we shed our earth clothes, our energy just continues  in  another form, in another dimension.  Austin loved veing outdoors in Nature.  Pay attention when you are outside.....I bet that is where Austin  will make a connection  with you when you least expect ir.

Our earth journey with Austin was short, but the impact he had on his and the bond you two shared will stay with is furever.  And we are so honor to learn more about thos special  Soul when you are ready.

Love and light💖

The most amazing thing has happened. Austin's spirit is with us. It was 3 days after we had to send Austin over the rainbow bridge, I wanted to email the rescue from Tennessee where we're got him. When I pulled up the page, the adopted dogs came up and the top one was a white mixed Pyrenees that recently had hind leg amputation surgery and needed a forever home. It is the same back leg Austin would have had done. The new dog had her stitches out last week. My husband and I were not sure about adopting her and the group was scheduled to take her to Petco last weekend to an adoption event. We told them if she wasn't adopted to let us know....and she wasn't ...and we are. She is coming via transport on Saturday. The rescue even eats the same dog food as Austin and the only place you can buy it is at Tractor Supply. So now we are facing a new challenge. Please feel free to comment with any advice or suggestions. Her name is Nola.

Awwww that is certainly Austin working his magic! Don't forget to share some photos of your beautiful angel, we would love to see them. Message me if you need help adding images .

As for Nola, YEAH! Lucky dawg, that's wonderful news. I can't wait to hear more. In the meantime maybe what you can do is stock up on about 3 weeks worth of her food when you see a Tractor Supply, then get a more convenient brand and slowly transition her over. Three weeks is usually a good timeframe in which to do it, although you may want to take longer since her system has been through a lot and needs to calm down. I know it took us about three months to get our Wyatt Ray 's belly calmed down after we adopted him. Like Nola he had just been through surgery and had a ruff start in life.

Congrats on receiving such a lovely girl from an unforgettable angel! Can't wait to hear all about it.

CHILLS HEAD TO TOE!!!  HEAD TO TOE!!  And a few HAPPY TEARS mixed in!!!

Soooo many signs from Austin! Really!   The same rescue, the same dog food, the same leg AND not getting adopted at the event!!!  True signs of Austin connecting  with you at the right time and in the right way!   I looooove how this unfolded!!

I truly believe our dogs send us the dog we need and the dog who needs us, so that dog can experience love and joy just like Austin did with you ❤   Austin knows your heart is big enough to hold him in your heart  and to hold NOLA in your heart❤

I am sooooo happy for you and for Nola.  She definitely just won the Puppy Lottery!😎😎

Cannot wait for the great picture reveal and all about her homecoming!!  Goodness knows she's  been through  a lot with the major surgery, adjusting  to three, and now a new furever home!

Sending extra hugs and a great big WELL DONE to AUSTIN😎😊

I am so happy for You! Wonderful news!

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

WOW. What a story and life lesson. I believe that when one door closes another opens. Austin was behind this adoption. My Maggie just walked into the room as I was reading this sad/happy story.

Is today the big day? Don't forget pictures!

What two wonderful ways to honor Austin. The adoption of a new tripawd and the annomonus donation in Austin's honor to the Tripawd Community!

I know it's heart breaking when we loose one of our fur babies,  but I also feel it opens a door to save another!

Please let us know how the meeting goes, and I know Austin is looking down grinning from ear to ear!

Nola has found her new furever home....except she is now Zoey! When she came home after picking her up from the transport in the wee hours of the morning, we realized Nola starts with No. Given her history, we wanted something more positive. Zoe is Greek for life. She was a stray found on the street by a police officer on August 26th. She had a broken leg with matted fur. She was taken to the shelter and taken out by the rescue group. Her leg was unable to be set as it was an old injury. Thus the amputation. At the same time as that surgery she was spayed and microchipped. She is probably around 3. She has adjusted so well. Our home is pretty quiet and she really needs recovery time from all of this. Her transport alone was 12+ hours. Her biggest things are walking on our floor...hardwood and laminate..so we now have paths of rugs and she is all over the house. She will not walk on a leash per her foster mother so we haven’t tried. We have a pretty large fenced in yard. She is eating but only weighs 43 lbs so she needs to fill out her ribs. The amputation looks good. I am getty one of the ruffwear harnesses to give her a boost where she needs it. I will get some pics this week and post a few. It is all about endless patience right now. It is amazing how we are blessed with her.  Thanks so much for all of the support!

Cannot wait for more updates!!! And yes, yes, yes, we are anxiously  waiting for pictures and more about Zoey as her personality  starts to shine through.

So happy for you and Zoey! And I do like the name Zoey much better! Agreed that a name beginning with "no" could get confusing when training.  Every dog I have ever had has been a rescue. Zoey knows you rescued her and she will show you how grateful she is for years to come, and will become one of the most loyal dogs ever!

Thank you for adopting her and saving her life. I know Austin is so proud of you!
