That's encouraging!  She'll pull through this.  Luckily, I think you have some time to decide whether or not to go through with the next chemo appt.  In the meantime, enjoy all your moments with your girl.  Best wishes!  I hope everyone gets back on track soon.  (((HUGS)))

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Terrific!  I love hearing good news.

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Linda,

I am so sorry to read this post.  I know, and Chance knows, you fought such a hard battle for your baby.  This "beast" as you put it is just exactly that, its a terrible disease and we do all we can and fight the battle so hard.  She knows how much you love her and take comfort in the wonderful times you had with her.

Sending you lots of hugs and strength.

Erica

Linda,

I am so sorry that things have taken a bad turn for you and Chance.  It is such a long emotional fight that we go through.  Keep Chance as comfortable as possible, give her lots of love and take care of yourself too.  Our thoughts are with you.

Linda,

There are no thanks needed.  You are a friend and a part of this family.  I am so sorry to read this post about Chance.  I prayed that she would be able to continue on with her trial and pull through.  You know when the time is right and Chance will let you know also.  At that point in time you give the greatest gift of all.  So she will no longer have the pain of that dreaded evil disease.  I have tears as I read this.  I know you & Chance fought as hard as you can.

Love on her and give her lots of hugs for Sassy & I.  We love ya.  Chance will be at the Rainbow Bridge to meet you.  Until then she will have lots of great company to show her the ropes and hang around with, chasing butterflies through all the meadows.

Linda and Chance......I just found your story and you have me crying, smiling, aobbkng, and cheering all at the same time!  What a journey you two are on and she is so privileged to have you as her best friend and advocate.  She knows how loved she is and that is what has sustained her throughout.  No one knows were this journey will take any of us.  We all know we are a community separated by distance and computers it we all have a supportive bond that view can ever understand.     We are walking with you as you are walking side by side with Chance

Sending you peace and surrounding you and Chance with grace and mercy,

Linda, my heart breaks knowing that Chance's long journey is winding down. To recognize this time and make preparations is a brave, courageous thing to do, as much as it hurts. Still, I hope she has more quality time with you.

You have both been a big part of this community as your shared your journey from hopeless to hopeful and then downright miraculous. I agree, it's so not fair that Chance didn't have more time, cancer is so ruthless. But we are incredibly grateful that you even started coming here to share her story with us so that others can see even if you opt out of amputation, some quality time can be spent together. Thank you for that.

I know that it hurts to set her free, but eventually as the pain of loss subsides it will be replaced with love and unforgettable, beautiful moments you shared together, and these memories will last a lifetime.

Please know we are thinking of you. If you need anything at all we are here for you. Tell Chance we send our love and kisses to her OK?
