Well, guess what?!?!
I have a kitty at home with me! 🙂
She still has not ate. (Well, she was hand fed at the vet, but she hasn't ate out of a bowl.)
I asked the vet if I could bring her home, thinking she may eat at home.
They kept the IV in her. And I will have to take ber back to the vet tomorrow to get that checked on. (They are wanting to check it every day she has it in.)
Hopefully she will eat tonight and have it removed tomorrow!
Brandy did go potty at the vet in a litter box and she did drink water at the vet (and has now just drank some water at home.)
She was actually purring for me at the vet! ♡ 🙂
And she was wanting so much loving at the vet. (Which of course I gave her! 😙)
She is walking pretty good at home!
I am so happy to have my baby girl home again! 💜 😊
Yeah 🎉thats great you got to bring her home even if its just the night !
Keep enticing her to eat , try everything and anything and I'm sure hoping ,being home will help with her eating again. I would keep trying to hand feed her.
All positive signs in the right direction.
Keep it up Brandy we are all worried about you!
Hugs to you both

Just caught up on your post and WOW, Brandy has put you through the ringer! I can't even imagine going through this with a cat. The one I have now and ALL the others I have had in my life would have been so challenging compared to my dog. Cats are just so....FELINE. I had a cat with kidney failure and she was a fussy eater before that. She would eat nothing but wet kitten food which is the worst for kidney issues. I think once Brandy gets back into a more normal routine and is weaning off the meds you will see her bounce back. I would think adjusting to an amputation for a cat would be easier maybe? They are just so much more flexible and agile. Hind leg would be harder for jumping though. You''ll just have to let us know how she gets on as she improves.
Message for Brandy- STOP WORRYING YOUR MOM! Just eat, drink and potty, that's all she asks!
Healing hugs to both of you

Actually, the amputation is quite hard on her because they took her entire leg up to the hip bone. Most rear leg amputations on cats is just halfway up their leg.
But she is doing pretty good now. She is back to being my cat again! 🙂
When she was home during those couple days before she went back to the vet, I did not recognize her at all. She was far from herself. It sucked so bad. But she is good now. She's still adjusting. But doing pretty good. 🙂
