Brandy wearing a Petsmart bandanna that one of my beagles had wore after a bath they got there one time, long ago.Â
This pic is from March 15, 2014.Â
This picture is a very sentimental one.Â
My sister and I used to be very terrified of dogs. We have no reason why. We just were. Like if a person had a puppy in their arms a football field away, my sister and I would try to climb our parents to get away from it. Yea, it was that bad.Â
So my parents got us a couple of Beagles. They got them from a lab that does dog testing with dog products. (Long story.)Â
Anyway, they were perfect. They got the job done. They got us to liking dogs. 🙂Â
Jasmine (The darker one on the right in the pic below) passed away from Kidney Failure in our backyard on May 26, 2009. (She was 12 years old.)Â
Camie (The more white one on the left in the pic below) had to be put to sleep due to tumors on her breasts that started to bleed on December 30, 2009. (She was 12 years old.)Â
The reason the above pic is so sentimental is because she is wearing their bandanna.Â
I swear when I first adopted Brandy that Jasmine's and Camie's spirits were in Brandy. I saw so many of their traits in her.Â
......Â
I am hoping when I adopt a cat again, that I see Brandy in them. And that the new cat will pick me out like Brandy did. 🙂Â
Yes, she picked me out.Â
I was volunteering at our local spca.Â
The first day I went into her kennel at the shelter (kittens age 16 weeks - 6 months old) I swept up the litter on the floor. When I bent over to sweep the litter onto the dust pan, she jumped onto my back. I was like, "get off of me you stupid cat."Â
Over the next few days, I played with this fluffy solid grey male kitten. I really liked him. And the whole time I was in that kennel loving on him, Brandy would try to be in my lap and I would pick her up and move her away from me. Well, one weekend, my parents came in to see the cats I was working with. My mom came to that kennel because I was showing her the one I liked. Well, she said let me see that little tabby. She was like, she is so cute! I told her I liked the little grey one. She was like you have to get this one, showing me Brandy. So that's how I ended up with Brandy.Â
Yep, Brandy picked me out and I wouldn't have changed a thing! 🙂Â
