Did they use the term "necrosis"?Â
I don't think so.Â
They said with such the extensive surgery, they may have nicked a blood vessel and that's what caused the dead areas.Â
Also the dead area on her butt has an infection, so that's what the red on her butt is. (What I thought was dry blood.)Â
Has Brandy been eating a little of anything everyday? Â I know you went out and cat canned food & she was eating but has that changed again ?Â
I got all kinds of different canned foods for Purrkins thinking he might not want to eat. I always say the stinkier the better when they are on meds and not eating. It has worked for us anyway. I bought food I would normally not feed him just in case.
Fussy cat canned food tuna and salmon he loved that. I had fussy eater years ago and always had to fight to get him to eat and that also worked on him.
Another thing you could try is turkey and gravy baby food! It would be easy for her to lick up and she probably will love it. Bonus if she does like the baby food you can sneak meds in there 😉 Same with Sardine water or Tuna juice! Just adding some more ideas to try. Â
Catnip can also be a natural appetite stimulant for cats just depends on the kitty , sprinkle it around and in front of her , fresh is even better if you can get it .Not all kitties respond the same to catnip.
Please eat for Mom Brandy!
She has been esting some! 🙂Â
Not as much as me or the doctor would like, so that'swhy she is on the appetite enhancer.Â
I got several kinds, kitten and adult, from different brands.Â
She likes the Proplan Savor ones with gravy. (Beef and Chicken Entrée, Beef and Cheese, Chicken and Cheese, and I haven't tried the other ones of Proplan, but those 3 she really likes.)Â
She didn't like the other brands of wet food.Â
(Her dry food is Proplan Indoor Formula, Chicken Flavor.)Â
It's been a long time since she has been around catnip. (Like 4 years.) She didn't seem to react much to it back then. I can try it again with her.Â
I do have some other good news! 🙂Â
I heard Brandy making noise (I heard her cone knocking around on the wall and/or floor), so I went to check on her. She had walked down the hallway from her room to my room. So, I picked her up and brought her to the living room with me. I put her on the couch and went and got the little stair case that I got for her. A little later, she actually walked down the stair case to get off the couch! Yay! 😀Â
Good job Brandy!! 'Now no more setbacks! Forward girl! Forward!! 🙂 🙂
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Bust a move Brandy! You're doing better with each new hop, keep it up!

So glad to hear! Brandy is coming back Im not surprised on the steps ,Purrkins uses his and and his brother uses them also and he has 4 legs. Its the best when you see them get back to themsleves!
Your dream of her following you will be coming true soon!  😉
Glad the day has turned around so much!
Brandy tried to jump onto the couch with my husband a little bit ago. She got both front paws onto the couch, but had troubles balancing on her back leg and couldn't figure out how to propel herself onto the couch. Poor thang. She will get there some day.Â
I did ask my husband if he wants some stairs for his couch. He said no. lol.Â
Good grief. What a time you're having. Well done for hanging in there and looking out for Brandy, poor thing. I'm glad to read she's figuring out mobility stuff, too, and getting some cuddles. Fingers crossed things get less rocky for you guys. You've had enough challenges already!
