my 13-1/2 year old Bailey tried to take ME on a walk!  I took him out front to pee, and he QUICKLY hopped about 15 yards along our normal walking route!  He was really disappointed when I made him turn around and come back home.  what-ever  But this was SO encouraging!  He seems like he's just ready to get back into his routine and move on from all this.  big-grin  Hopefully we'll get his K9 cart soon so that those walks will soon be happening!

Glad to hear Bailey's recovery is going so great.  Front amps use momentum to propel themselves forward.  I find it hard to have Daisy on a leash because of that.  Once she gets going there's no stopping her.

Keep up the good work Bailey!  You'll be back to your routine in no time.

Wahoo!  We're right there with you!  We're moving about at full speed and walks are pretty exciting.  Hooray for a return to routines!  Congrats, Bailey!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Thanks everyone!  He also returned to eating dog food today!  I'd been feeding him bland people food to get his strength built back up.
