Hello everyone.

I'm a veterinarian, work mostly with alternative medicine in dogs and cats.

Last week, I got an email from somebody trying to rescue Hunter, a 8 year old german shepherd, 3 legged, from this family in Mexico city, that wanted to put him down because he bit his owner.

Long story short, I drove from my home town, San Miguel de Allende, to pick up Hunter, and after spending 2 days with him, I know that his owner should have done something really bad to this nice and gentle dog, for him to bite him.

A friend and client told me about this website and since I'm rescuing this dog, looking for a home where Hunter can live his last years in good shape and in a loving home, we should look for possibilities.

He's missing the front left leg, because he got hit by a car when he was 4, the owner didn't take care of him and his limb got infected, and well, you know the story.

It's very difficult to get all these kind of equipment here in Mexico, since people normally doesn't spend money on them, they just let their dogs be happy with they're special condition, but since Hunter is a heavy old guy, he gets tired really easily.

Any advise?

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions!

Cheers from Mexico

Bless you for saving Hunter, Dr. Rod! Are you trying to find him a home, or have you taken him in yourself?

Jerry was an eight year old Shepherd when he lost his front leg to cancer, and he lived happily for nearly two more years. We may be able to get a harness donated for Hunter if you think that would help. It worked great on Jerry to help down stairs and into the car. If you are interested, send us (Admin or Jerry) a shipping address using the Private Message "Inbox" feature and we'll see what we can do.

¡Gracias!
