My name is Doggie, and I am a five year old Yorkie. I lost my spare front leg when I broke it running down the stairs. I had three operations by orthopedic specialists, but they could not save it. They said I was very brave and had a great attitude. I appreciated the compliments, but all the Yorkies I know are just as brave. I am doing fine and your website has been very helpful for my human companion. Gotta run.

By the way, I took the last picture near the stairs, but not to worry, there is a gate so I cannot go down them again. Doggie

Hey Doggie,

Welcome to tripawds.  When did you lose your spare leg?  It sounds like you have been through a lot lately.  I'm sure that you know that you are not only brave you are cute!  Keep us informed on how you are doing.

Welcome Doggie!  We don't have many as tiny as you.  I see one advantage - at least your human can carry you if necessary!

Welcome Doggie,  You are very cute and being so little I bet you get around really good. We have a Yorkie and when she gets a cactus quill in her foot she comes running over to me so fast to pull it out I usually have a hard time telling that she is only using three legs.  Keep up that great attitude.

Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….

Hi Doggie and welcome!  I wish you could meet Cemil.  He likes little Tripawds and he'd make sure nobody hurt you.  I'm sure you can do a fine job of taking care of yourself, but you look so vulnerable.

Looking forward to reading your stories!

Thanks again to all my new friends for your warm welcome. Bob and I really appreciate it. I also appreciate the offer from Cemil, who I am sure would make certain that no one would hurt me. However, Bob's wife also has a Yorkie, named TC, who is like a brother to me. TC is the alpha male, and even though he only weighs 4.1 pounds, he would fight to the death to protect our home and me.
