Just wanted to pop in here to say that today is Harry's one month "ampuversary" and I can't bloody believe how well he's doing or how fast everything has gone (in hind sight, of course...it felt like an age of misery while it was new). Today is the best day yet. He's had such a lovely long play this evening and is nudging my laptop out of the way as I type to try and take it's place. He really is his happy, curious, pain-in-the-assy self again and it brings me SO much joy.Ā
I don't know how I would have survived without this place and it's wonderful members. Thank you so so soooooooo much for existingĀ

Isn't it wonderful when you see 'normal' again.Ā And we even celebrate the naughty behaviors because we thought we wouldn't see them again.
Good job with that blanket Harry!

š It does bring sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much happy. He's a supermodel for sure. And yes, he's getting some fuzz back as well, more in some places than others .Ā
Actually, I've noticed a bit of blue skin around his scar over the past few days and am wondering whether that's normal? Possibly the hair...? It doesn't seem like bruising. Doesn't seem painful. Seems to be very well healed!
I think it's the hair!
Our Jimmi's hair is slowly growing back, too, and yesterday I said to my husband "What are these shadows? Did he somehow dirty around his incision?"
Jimmi is ginger and white and has stripes within his ginger parts. These stripes are barely visible when his hair is long, but now you can clearly see they are darker and make this pattern.
We have black girl and I remember when the hair on her tummy grew back it looked just like on your Harry. Back then I also wondered what's about those blueish/black spots. Black cats often have hidden stripes, too. Around the incision where the skin got a bit pulled together the hair grows a bit "thicker". I'm not a doctor, but that's my guessĀ
Just read through your whole thread after you commented on mine. What an amazing recovery, I LOVED seeing the pictures and watching the videos of sweet Harry!
I could relate to all your feelings so well, specially pre surgery. In our case it all happened more in a rush though, I didn't have much time to think about and after all was just thankful the cancer will get removed from his body.
Harry is looking GREAT and I wish him a fabulous further journey!! Ā
Bettina
Thank you š It is definitely a rocky road, even when it goes as smoothly as it has for us! I can't read back over the day by day yet, without getting worked up, lol...but he is doing splendidly. Fills my heart right up!
And thanks for the thoughts re: his hair/blue spots. That's sort of what I think too, and it totally makes sense.Ā
I'dĀ Ā just keep an eye on it anyway just to be safe as you already are doing, if something changes reaccess. If its hair skin or bruise either way I'm sure its going to be ok.
Kinda dumb to post that since we are all hyper looking anyway . š
Bettina reading all thru Harry's journey how sweet š She had a few pages to read lol . Got to love our community brings all the best souls to one place!
Hugs to you bothĀ
