Today is Kermit's 11th birthday AND his 6-week ampuversary so I thought I'd share a picture of how he's celebrating:
(actually that photo is from this past weekend & is my usual morning view!)
He had underwater rehab & acupuncture today so we've decided to pick out his gift from Petsmart tomorrow, as he is EXHAUSTED this afternoon!
HAPPY , HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KERMIT!!!And HAPPY SIX WEEK AMPUVERSARY!!!:-) I tried to make a smiley face like your mom taught me......looks like ....maybe??
You have the funkiest sleep positions in the land and win the award for sleeping with an "in you face" kind of attitude!!!Love it!! Little bit of toe jam in those paws though! Yum!
Thanks for giving us all something to celebrated and to really have a genuine "heart smile" about!! . . . Yet another smiley face (maybe?) celebration for the amazing Kermit!!
Rehab? Shopping? Acupuncture? And your Mom's worried because you seem tired???? We'll send her a great big "DUH" on your behalf!!!
Thanks again. for brightening everyone's day!! Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
THANKS! We had a good doggy-day.
Hmmm, you may be onto something there, we've been pretty busy lately! And ummm, certainly busier than Kermit ever was when he had 4 legs... ooops!
Your smileys worked! And no more need to decipher your posts... we are on a ROLL around here.
That sprawled-on-his back position is pretty normal for him, especially since the surgery- I think it helps his back muscles when they get sore from hopping around. A lot of times he hangs his head over the side of the bed too. And his feet are a mess- last fall he had a plasma sarcoma tumor removed from his right hind, and he has a long history of furunculosis from seasonal allergies. He's such a tough guy that he's always seemed really healthy until I write it all down at once!
Anyway, thanks bunches! We're ready for bed at this late hour of almost 9pm... neither Kermit nor I are getting any younger i guess!
Kermit I'm late to the pawty! Hoppy Hoppy Birthday kiddo. Hope you had a sweet, relaxing day on the couch. That sure looks like a great way to spend the afternoon!

KERMIE! YOU TELL YOUR MAMA A BIRTHDAY DESERVES A NEW POST!!!!!!
Happy birthday kermie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Thanks everyone; I seem to start a lot of new posts so I was trying not to be a topic hog!
Kermie had a good birthday and he's VERY perky today... I bought a couple new buckets of freeze-dried liver treats and he jumped up onto the counter to get them! Although it took me the first 8 years of his life to stop his counter-surfing, the rehab doc said it's a great exercise for him so for the first time ever, I cheered him for counter surfing! (This may set me up for a lot more trouble, but I guess I'll learn to never leave anything out!)
Tomorrow marks the halfway point of his adriamycin treatments. Paws crossed for perfect bloodwork & no signs of either cancer!
Around here we call 'counter surfing' = counter terrorist! Jackson is known to be a counter terrorist....
I missed the pawrty! WOW! Hoppy birthday! Hoppy ampuversary! YEY! So glad you're doing so well, Kermit! You are an especially adored pup!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Fabulous photos!! And happy hoppy birthday and ampuversary Kermie
Hugs and snugglies
