We are so thrilled Purrkins is doing great this is his little rehab video. I use Bonito flakes he will do anything for! I will post his going up and down the steps we got him to get to his window perch. Everyday he is doing more and we will continue to bring more things into this room for him to get stronger and learn in here where its all cushioned. Hopefully this works. I think I got these on his blog too. All a learning processoh-my

You TOTALLY made my morning, these are great! I love the core workout with bonito flakes, look at how crazy he is over them!

Thanks so much for sharing, they're wonderful additions to the Tripawds Community's YouTube playlist.

Jerry , This was the best we could do today. I had to assist Dr. Matt,  Mark was in charge of the pictures /video.( no video yet)

Purrkins didn't care for the needle acupuncture. He started to squirm around too much. Dr. Matt said thats not helping Purrkins with him squirming , he changed to the laser acupuncture .
You can see the needles if you blow it up. I took bonito flakes and that didn't help distract him.
Purrkins did enjoy the laser acupuncture . Started purring !

He will try needle again next week and if not will do the laser again. He would like him to have 2-4 treatments.

We had bonito flakes everywhere lol . Dr. Matt didn't care.

Purrkins came home and is now soundly sleeping /snoring away.

Awww Purrkins!

Laser acupuncture? That is a new one for me, I'd love to learn more. Dr. Matt sounds very cool! Thanks for the pics, I know how challenging it is to think of taking some when you're trying to get through a vet visit with an antsy patient. We sure appreciate it!

We love Dr. Matt ! Heres a little info on it. I too had to look it up.

Using laser energy to stimulate acupuncture points. This "hot" topic in veterinary physical rehabilitation is actually very "cool," as most lasers don’t generate significant heat that burns hair or skin. Lasers are great for providing "needle-less" acupuncture treatments especially on patients that don’t readily tolerate needle insertion.

I wanted to share our Purrkins has returned back up to the kitchen cupboards. Much to our disbelief and horror! Its a great sign for us! He had stopped going up there after his biopsy surgery. Going down I moved his steps to the countertop and showed him please use thesewinker and he did.  Not sure what his plan was for getting down was. oh-my

WOAAAAH!!! Holy moly!

I'm so glad he used the stairs, that's pretty amazing. Again, something else that we'd love to see pictures/video of!

Purrkins, you are back to your new normal and we are loving it.
