Yeah on the normal! I understand that now. Things are better already just the first few hours I panicked .

He was crazy coming out of the carrier . His eyelids are ok now. He has decided the closet is his space to rest he is laying on a bed in there .

He fell asleep and woke up saw me laying beside him and started to purr ,rolled on his back and said oh I am really home.

He ate canned food for me. All of those huge things made me feel way better and I got back on track.

Once I saw Purrkins was in there and happy to be home. Thats all the assurance I needed. Im not saying Im not going to panic again.

I hope not but like you said anything goes so. Sure will give it my all. You find strength you didn't know you had during this thats for sure.

Thank you Kerren truly helps to hear all this! Yes if only love could heal right! None of us would be here.

Hugs back!  sure can use them!

Going to try to post picture of the sweet man.

I want to give Purrkins a BIG SMOOCH! What a total doll, I can see why you're so in love.

Well it's just wonderful to know how much your mindset has changed in a few hours. Purrkins is even more amazing than ever isn't he?

I did a few will send them as he wears them! I made sure the hospital knew all about you guys! They were happy to hear there was support when we got home. They don't get to see what happens afterwards and hopefully they will pass the word along and check it out.

Of COURSE you can get through this journey, and you will be stronger and wiser and even hoppier because of it, guaranteed.

How is Purrkins brother taking all this activity? I'm curious how he's doing with the changes.

Meanwhile about your hospital: thanks so much for telling them about us! Be sure to fill out our Tripawds Brochures Request Form and we'll send some their way:

Definitely will do that brochure request.

Thank you for asking. You guys wow!

Purrkins brother he has been lost while Purrkins has been away. Looked all around for him. He is not sure whats happened .I let him smell Purrkins in the carrier when we got home. I closed the door for first few hours ,Saxton pawed at the door for awhile then gave up. When Mark got home we let him come in and he is very leary, smelling everything , seems afraid. Definitely seems concerned he is not himself.

We had problems with them fighting after Purrkins had biopsy.  Purrkins had his defenses up then. Just going to have to take it a day at at time and see how it all goes. I will close the door tonight .

Purrkins and I are resting in the closet and Saxton comes by to check on us but then is very afraid? Would love to know what he is thinking. I know animals don't think like us ! I most certainly hope not for there sake. lol We have a Multi cat Pheromone diffuser going to try to help with the stress on them along with a calming spray.

I will include picture of them being brotherssmiley I am going to try to get the blog going just got few pictures up.

I am keeping notes was as we go and will add them all when I can. Image Enlarger

We are so happy and wanted to report we had a Pawsome Night!

At 2 am our life turned completely around again!

Instead of letting Purrkins figure the walking and flopping out on his own. I decided to try to help him stabilize himself .By sitting him up putting his one leg in the middle and then let go of him. Showed him and let him feel what that did. I read on the other kitty tripawds sites that is what they end up figuring out the one leg in the middle.

This worked perfect he understood what that meant. Less frustration for him and less scary for us! I helped him walk a few steps supporting  his underside instructing and cheering him on.

He looked at the litter box, that was my clue. Ok lets do the litter . Stabilized him first let him sit and see ok this works. Then to the litter box he hopped. Getting in was face plant , I just adjusted him and held his chest for him to be stable. Bless his heart he peed in the box as I held him stable! He tired quickly he peed and rested his head on the side of litter. I thought he was done oops nope still peeing. Yeah Purrkins.

Amazingly he also stood on his back two and scratched the closet door marking his territory happily. Wow we were just in awe of him. What a difference a few hours of being home and love did for him! He jumped on the bed jumped on the chair, (not great for us)but we were right  there to assist the down part. He hopped around great a little to great all at once like a lighting bolt!  Purrkins is dong Like Kerren and Tripawd Kitty Mona did lightening fast all over then he's back laying down resting!

His incision looks great! He gets warm compress 3 times a day in a baggy warmed in microwave. He loves it rolls over and soaks up the warmth!  We have his meds dialed in where it appears he is comfortable we are doing the 8 hours on pain meds and gaba a hour before or after. I will list at some point his supplements he gets along with this on his blog. We will share anything and everything hopefully Purrkins can help others like all of you have done for him!

Will keep you all posted but couldn't wait to report all the great great news. This is quicker for me right now to do then his blog but will get to that at some point!

We are no longer worried, Purrkins wants to do this and we will do this one minute at a time together we will keep trying harder!clap

I forget to mention Saxton, He is defiantly being respectful. He continues coming and going checkin in on Purrkins.

We are doing our best to include him in all this. Only closed the door for a few hours last night.

Mark took Saxton out to the patio that will make his day! Couldn't ask for better boys.

Working on little sleep not complaining , Just the mind gets a little scattered.sleepy
