I didn't hear him cough at all over night, or this morning. The vet said it may just be a dry throat. If it persists, we're supposed to bring him in. He seemed happy this morning. He was hopping around the yard, barking at something. My dad said he seemed his normal lazy self when I called a bit ago, not his sick personality.
Way to go Czar!
We know it's sooooo ha4d mnot yo aorry avout every little thing, especially in your case. The reality is, most often a cough is just a cough from any number of silly little things. I know Czar gets whacked a bit after the Vet stuff, but at least you kmow ot's temporary and he bou ces baxk yo Jo's "lazy self" (as your Dad said) pretty quickly.
I just love that he has so much care and attenfron fron yoju and fron his grandparents. He is such a lucky, .loved snd deservedly spoiled boy!😎
Hugs

Happy Cezar is doing better! Brownie has a cough, but here in Texas it's 37 degrees one day and 79 the next. Plus alot of wet.
No saw the video of Cezar in the snow. He looks like one happy boy!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Hopefully he'll still get lots of relaxing time. The puppies will be at daycare most of the day, so they can burn energy and socialize. Czar will be much happier staying home. He's still more out of sorts than we thought he would be almost two months into losing Riot. I'm really hoping the puppies help us all heal. I still look for him all the time, and then I remember.
Czar will really enjoy the puppies when they are all tired out from day care!
Losing Riot, on top of the cancer and amputation, takes a toll for sure. He will soooo bounce back when those puppies show up. I'm betting on it. Puppies just make everyone smile 🙂

This has all taken a huge toll on all of you. And going through this with Czar in the shadow of Riot... honestly I am not so sure I would be doing as well as you are.. really.
I think this will be really good for you, having new little personalities, having your hands full for different reasons. Czar will be distracted too, and I am sure they will be good for him. He looks like the sweetest dog from the video and pictures.
We took Bo out to a fundraiser this weekend and don't you know there was a tripawd ACD there... OMD! He was so sweet, he and Bo got along like they had known each other all of their lives. Before it was over, they were actually licking each others faces and wagging... DANG! I really do not have what it takes to have another dog in the family, but if I were going to do it.. Romeo would have been it. He had a full raccoon mask around his eyes and he was so laid back and sweet. I will stop talking about him now, lol.... With all of the health issues we have dealt with for Mitchell, Andy, Huck, and Bo we really need a financial break. I have no doubt Romeo will find the best forever home. He is actually with a group of Pittie Rescuers if you can believe THAT one!!
Hugs to you and Czar

Yes, the puppies will bring a lot of joy. Lots of work, too, but so much joy.
Honestly, I'm not holding up well. I'm just surviving at this point. I'm going through the motions so I still have a job, and Czar is well cared for. I hope I can go back to living soon.
It sounds like it was hard to leave that boy behind. I'm sure he'll find a great home. You're right that if you're not sure it's the right time, then better to wait. You've handled enough lately.
I'm so sorry. I know that grief can feel like you're barely hanging on. That's totally normal so don't beat yourself up. You've had a double-whammy thrown at you and it's understandably going to take more time to feel normal again.
I think I felt that way for several months when Jerry left us. Time, and engagement with the world, helped me heal. Broken hearts are delicate things, and mending is a different process for everyone. For me, it helped to write about Jerry and reflect on what he gave us. For others, they do things like foster at shelters, or create art, or just go for more walks. That kind of movement in our life after such a great loss ends up being a positive thing, and helps us come to terms with our grief.
