Cooper, you never cease to amaze me! I do believe she as nailed this exercise without ever read the instructions! 😎 You are a Doggy Fitness Guru!!😎
Thanks for the happy pupdate!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Karen - you might be on to something... we do use Stella & Chewy's freeze-dried as payment. We have such foodies! 🙂 And thank you Sally! She certainly thinks she's a guru! haha
Another pupdate - Copper is doing fantastic. She continues to get a little stronger and more stable every day it seems (thanks Rehab). She's back to hiking at her favorite park! We did a little over a mile this AM and she seemed to handle it very well (pictures attached of me annoying her!). And also - check out someone's new squeaky orca! 🙂 She's got her 5th round of Carboplatin Tuesday - hopefully she can tolerate these last 2 rounds like the super trooper she has been throughout.

Hi Emily! Copper looks so fit and pretty with those flowers (Shhh! Don't tell her I said that!). Griffin had a rehab appointment on Friday and I have seen a big difference in his flexibility these last few days, so yay for rehab! Good luck with round 5 of chemo on Tuesday! ~ Stacy
Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com
Oh Cooper, you are such a beautiful flower gitl🌻🌾 Fery, very sweet picture of a very, very sweet doggy
You clearly love your new toy. So much fun to see you so happy 🐋🐋

Copper you are just living the life and being such a great role model for Tripawds! What a beautiful thing to watch you getting outside and doing what you love, all while knocking down those chemo sessions. Yeah, you are definitely kicking cancer's butt!

Thanks, Stacy! Copper is absolutely okay with being called pretty. Trust me. 😉
And Sally - that's a great idea! I should sell Cop's services as a flower girl. Her lifestyle is expensive - plus she'd be so darn cute!
And this pupdate is inspired by you, Jerry! Our 5th Carbo treatment got delayed due to low white blood cell count (again) - so we had to go back this AM - pictures attached. Copper (a little embarrassingly) drug the technician through the parking lot on her way out! I'm not gonna lie though - i was proud to see my Tripawd pup drag around a full grown human. haha
One more round of Chemo to go and she'll be getting re-check x-rays again next time too. More to worry about - but i'm extremely happy she continues to do so well. She did ~1.5 miles at her favorite park yesterday - and she ran at least a 3rd of that with excitement. 🙂
Hah! Take THAT cancer! POW!
I think those ears of hers have magical powers in the tips. Maybe we should all rub them for good luck?

Thank you, Jerry! Her ears have been straight up and the same size since I rescued her at ~10 weeks old... i've always joked that she was squeezed out head first, forcing her ears up. 🙂
Another pupdate - Copper had her last round of Chemo (Carboplatin) this morning and I am very happy to report that her chest x-rays are still clear! 🙂 Her Oncologist complimented her on how well behaved she is for them (she can be a nervous girl) and her and her wonderful team of techs signed the bandanna in the photo below for us. In 3 weeks Cop will begin the Yale Canine Cancer Vaccine and then possibly follow-up with Auranofin (if I can afford it!). Her Rehab in-clinic (pool/underwater treadmill sessions) have also been going very well - and despite her displeasure... Copper now enters the pool of her own accord. haha. Our at home rehab has also been going well - even though Cop often takes excited shots at the equipment - like in the video below.
She. Is. SO. ADORABLE! Those ears just crack me up. Puppies usually don't have pointy ears. Cop is something special.
Every time I look at her I am smitten, she is such a beauty. Thanks for sharing her IG pics here, I don't get over there as much as I would like so it's nice to see her doing so well.
YAY FOR CLEAR X-RAYS and no more chemo! What a relief! She's made such great progress and really is kicking cancer's tail! How cool she gets to have the vaccine, that's super exciting.
That is so funny that she tried to eat the FitPaws targets. Did she think she was going to make a burrito with them or what?

Hi Emily! That is a terrific update! Hooray for Copper finishing chemo like a champ! I saw you posted in the Auranofin thread - I'd love to know what your oncologist recommends. Keep the photos of your adorably girl coming - we can never get enough of that face! ~ Stacy

Finishing chemo is great, and clear x-rays? What a great day for Copper!
That bandanna is great too, what a caring team.
You have such a tidy storage system for your exercise gear.... ours is piled up in a corner.

Oh what a beauty Copper is! I just love those ears, and her bandanna, too.
Great to hear you have finished chemo & the x-rays are clear, congrats!
I'm looking forward to hear more about cancer vaccine. Unfortunately where I live no cancer vaccines are available at the moment, but they sound promising and I'm very interested to learn more about them.
Wish you all the best & many hoppy years for Copper to come!

Thank you Jerry - our continued dedicated ear supporter. 🙂 Also, Sally, Stacy, and sighthoundmom - y'alls kind words and support are very much appreciated. And Karen (thank you too) - our exercise gear is tidy because it would certainly be destroyed if Copper had unattended time with it... haha
Another pupdate - Copper started the Yale Canine Cancer Vaccine today. The tech actually carried her out because she said Cop was "wild" today and she was concerned she may hurt her remaining knee in her rush to get out of there! She will go in for her 2nd injection in 3 weeks - below is a video of her honest opinion on yet another vet visit...
Copper also celebrated a very special 9th birthday on July 4th! She got a wonderful pink hat - which clearly she was a big fan of... And celebrated with a huge marrow bone. She also did her first full length hike since amputation - and we had to follow up the big achievement with a birthday puppuccino, of course! Her continued underwater treadmill and pool sessions are definitely improving her stamina and overall strength, so I have to give a tremendous amount of credit to Hoppy Coppy's dedicated therapist. Photos and videos of the birthday girl below.

Oh Cooper, forgive me, but I'm L AO at the pictures of uou with uour birthday hat! OMD! Those looks of yours speak volumes!!!. And you lovely ears do not need a y additional adornment! They are prefection!
Thanks so much for in iting us to all the celebration festivities! The cake, the Puppacino, a big bone to feast on..perfect way to celebrate all the milestones!.
