I forgot to ask, how did she like the rehab session?

Aw, thanks. I think she's just the cutest - but i might just be a little biased. 🙂

And she did very well with the Underwater Treadmill - though because she still does a hop in it - per the advise of our Rehab Vet we're focusing on Pool sessions at this time. Unfortunately Copper's not as big of a fan of swimming - but she swims well (using all 3 legs and her stump) and she loves the therapist she's seeing, so we're working on getting her more comfortable in there.

At Brownie’s Owner - thank you and i let her know. And i'm hopeful she'll start remembering she has 3-legs when trying to do crazy things! I think she just forgets and then oops... haha

And Sally & Crew - Thank you again! And Underwater Treadmill sessions yes... our current Pool sessions not so much. We're working on it though! I'll be sure to add more pictures as we go along.

Ah. Since she likes the therapist I'll bet she will get comfortable with it pretty soon. Glad she's getting therapy, that's pawesome. Good job!

Little update on Hoppy Coppy. She's getting much better at her PT swim sessions - usually less splashy and about as relaxed as she can be in a full body of water. 🙂

She's overall doing very well and is at this time breezing through her Chemo - to the point where if i didn't know she was currently undergoing treatment - i likely wouldn't guess. The first round seemed to affect her appetite (which is normally ravenous) - but i reached out to a Veterinary Nutritionist who made us some new, easily digestible diets that she loves. sp_hearticon2I was incorrect about our last Chemo appointment (it was just a CBC and Chemo - no x-rays) - we have our 4th round of Carboplatin tomorrow at which point she will get a more comprehensive blood work panel and re-check chest x-rays. I feel like she's doing very well - but of course i'm very nervous. :/

Here's some photos to show how beefy my chest and front legs have gotten from my swim sessions - oh, and let's not forgot my Popeye right hind. Haha.

Hi Copper's human!  Those photos are adorable - she looks so strong and confident!  Griffin is also scheduled for 6 rounds of Carbo, but we are a bit behind you (going every 4 weeks, his second round is scheduled for May 15th) and he also sailed through his first round.  Fingers crossed for Copper that her treatment tomorrow goes smoothly and that her chest x-rays are clear!  Sending hugs from NYC! ~ Griffin and Stacy

Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com

You beautiful girl, there you are! Haha I just asked your mom to post an update about you and here it is. I'm really hoppy things are going well. And wow you look great too, very lean and muscular and soo happy looking.

And I really love how your mom reached out to a vet nutritionist. What a smart move! Those experts are soooo hard to find. If you get a chance we would love to hear more about your new vet team member and the kinds of food you're eating. Feel free to update in Eating Healthy!

Thank you Stacy! And Jerry - i will check out that link and see what i can add. She's currently got 3 diets one chicken based, a beef based, and a whitefish one. She enthusiastically gulps all of them down!

Also, thanks for the virtual hugs Sally. I am extremely happy to report that Copper's thoracic x-rays today showed no evidence of metatasis! 🙂

Boy she is pooped after standing the whole way to her vet and then a little over 5 hours inside + her 4th round of Carbo... Here is a photo of the aftermath. I think she has earned a few days off.

Awww look at that tired girl! I wish I could cuddle with her she is so darn cute.

What wonderful news on the clear scans and knocking down another round of chemo. YEAH Copper, rest up sweetie, you deserve some serious spoiling now.

Thanks Sally and Jerry - she got some good cuddles and spoiling - don't worry!

Copper has had a good week after recovering from her exhausting Monday. Per the advice of one of our Rehab Vets - we have gone back to doing Underwater Treadmill sessions (in addition to our Pool sessions) to really focus in on keeping her right hind strong. She loves the Underwater Treadmill in comparison to the Pool and i think she looks even better in it than she did right after surgery.

I have attached a video (i hope - i ran out of room in my Media Gallery here, so i made an Instagram i'm still learning to use!), i re-attached her cute previous Underwater Treadmill pic i messed up, and also a picture of (her being spoiled) enjoying her favorite chew - bully sticks!

Hey she looks good walking in the treadmill. It's amazing how much it helps a Tripawd walk as closely to a four-legger as possible. She looks very fit!

Cooper really seems very comfortable  with the water therapy.  And her form is rwally good...very smooth and fluid.

Now, that middle picture of her...nope, not too thrilled!

You have the frame the one of her chewing her bully stick.  She has great form!!! She is such a Happy girl.  Thanks for sharing her joy!😊

Thanks Jerry - for always supporting Hoppy Coppy! And Sally - you know bully sticks are life! haha 🙂

Quick little mid-week pupdate. Copper got some new TotoFit equipment in the mail today. She was pretty excited and thought she might show me how it's done. She just loves doing targeted exercises and gets so drivey (while doing them) that she barks and growls with excitement!
