Sending good thoughts to you and your family as you face the last moments. My heart aches for you.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

We are so sorry to hear about Coco bear...
Our family lost one of our fur-babies on February 7, 2011 so I know what you are going thru. Princess (not a tripawd) had congestive heart failure. She was a little fighter and managed to survive longer than expected. Even as she lay there taking her final breaths, she wagged her little tail and looked deep into my eyes as if to say she was okay and not to worry. I was devestated to see her go however I also felt a large wave of relief for her. There was no more discomfort or coughing. No more sad looks when I took the other dogs for a walk and had to leave her behind. She is up at Rainbow bridge with all the other fur babies and her heart is finally mended...
Sending you hugs and prayers,
Brandy and Family
Yesterday, I took Coco Bear in and said my last good night to her (never goodbye). She was very peaceful as she drifted her to sleep, as I cried. I will say you can never prepare yourself enough. Our family is having a very hard time but that's because we love her with all of our heart. But we know she will be playing with our other furry family members at rainbow bridge.
We love you Coco Bear!! xoxo
Bless you for giving sweet Coco such a wonderful life, we send you our warmest thoughts during this difficult time. Consider reviewing the Pet Loss Grief Support Resources Jerry posted should you find yourself needing help coping with your loss.

Coleen,
I am so sorry you had to do this. I am so happy you could be with her. And I am so relieved it was easy for her. I know how hard it was for you. I've done it several times. But the final gift of warm arms, strong hugs, whispered sweet thoughts and the end of pain has no value. It is worth so much that you simply cannot place value on it. You did exactly what she would have asked you to do if she could talk. I'll be thinking of you and your family in the coming days.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
