What an incredible trubute to a magnificent soulmate! Your eloquence and grace with which you described Bart had me smiling, rejoicing and rying all at the same time. You did such a good job as his partner in this life and he knows how much you loved him and ne knows e ery single decision you made for him was out of love
I also have had most of my dogs cremated so we can all be together. I lost my husband to cancer (80 Days and then gone) and he wanted to be cremated and also have some'lf is ashes in our garden as an everlasring renewal and life affirming"statement" that nothing in nature ever dies, it just chamges form and supports and sustains new life" I gently place a bit of my dogs' ashes in our garden. You ould also do the same at your parents pear tree and he will become part of the nuturing fuel thst sustains llife.
You and your Bart are beautifyl souls and I thank you so much for taking the time to share the loving journey you two were destined to take.
Embracing you with care amd support, Sally and Happy Hannah

Hello everybody. I I do not even have words to express how much your sentiments have meant to me. I have found it difficult to log in to Tripawds since my post, logging on was the hardest thing in the first place! And i apologise! Your kind words have been amazingly helpful in my recovery after Bart's passing. I had tried to post photo's of Bartholemew, or Toccamos, or Bartocc'a tocca, or Barty, or Tocca Wocca, he was a boy of many an alias!. It is funny the myriad of ridiculous names we give our Dogs. Anyway life without Bart is and I imagine, in some sense, always will be a struggle. But now I find myself sometimes in absolute hysterical laughter at some of the antics he got up to. I am not sure if I have mentioned the time I came home to a ransacked house? Bart was about four or five months old. I always left the back door open for Bart (I live in Tasmania, It's a pretty safe place) when i went to work. Well one day I got home and I thought I had been robbed. Bart was fine. Proud as punch as actually. As he should have been. It took me five minutes or so to realise that nothing was missing. Every single book was off every shelf. Every cupboard and draw was open and the contents of each scattered around the house. The bed was strewn across the room, the curtains were messed up. A rampage. And all I could do was laugh until I could not breathe. . I would welcome anybody on facebook as a friend who found me here. I can only offer my story as guide, but would be more than happy to offer support and advice if it would be of any help. Now, finally, I will post some photo's of my beloved boy! And I will reply to you all on an individual level. Again I can not thank you all enough. I wish everybody the best of luck. Much love, Rick and Bartholemew (Deceased). I think Bart is still messing with you----is it possible h didn't like his photo taken and is sending you a little playful message?
Loved the story of ransacking the house---and the visual oh him being such a proud boy as you surveyed the damage as so cute! Can't wait to see more photos----if Bartholomew allows!!
You'll find him in your dreams soon too. Sometimes when the grief is so engulfing it's hard for him to get through----but he will, you'll see!
Sweet dreams! Sally and Happy Hannah
