Thank you so much for the compliments, Lacey thanks everyone too. She'd seriously love all this attention.. I don't think Lacey could live in the city/town after living the farm life!! She is a ball of energy and for whatever reason leash walking just doesn't tire her out... AT ALL! I think I've mentioned before we have dairy goats, I was hand milking one the other day and I turned my head and looked back and Lacey was licking the milk as I was squirting it into a bucket! She (and all our dogs) loveeee fresh goat milk, we can NOT leave it unattended or it's gone!
I feel like every tripawd is such an inspiration, to keep on living the way they do is just amazing to me. And with Lacey looking back to before we amputated her leg she just was not herself.. I feel like she missed out on 10 months because we waited so long to amputate her leg. As soon as we had it amputated she was back to her old crazy self again!
Love all the pics. That is one happy dog just livin' the life!!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
The one on her back is PRECIOUS! I want to frame it and hang it in my living room!!! What a beautiful pup!
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog

So, crazy story... This morning at 4:00 am Lacey would not stop braking. Finally, my boyfriend went out to the family room to see what her deal was and he thought he heard one of our goats stuck somewhere, he ran out to check and there's a sheep standing in the middle of all our goats just blatting and blatting! We have NO idea where it came from and she's fairly wild so I doubt she was someone's pet sheep... We live in a pretty secluded area but I don't think there's like wild sheep roaming around upstate NY?? Anyway, I think Lacey thinks this is her sheep now because she "found" her...
And this is what Lacey has been doing ALL day. We put Nancy in a stall in case someone does claim her, and Lacey guards it for us...
Lacey girl, just wjst we needed today.....an uplifting photo starring the lovely Lacey and her magnificent sheep! You are sooooo adorable!
Do you put make-up on before you pose for your close-up! Your eyeliner appears to be smudge proof. What's your brand?
That's really nice of you to protect that poor little scared sheep.....who must ave had a grandparent who was a goat....little bit of goat mixed in there somewhere maybe?
Thanks for the smiles! Yo are one secial girl and soooooo pretty! Give Nancy a hug for us!
Loving this post!

I emailed my dad a picture, he thought it was a goat. Shes actually a Barbados black belly sheep.. We still have no clue where she came from! Were thinking either someone bought her and she escaped or someone is messing with us and dropped her off here!
Lacey assisted in catching Nancy, so I think the reason she waits oh so patiently by the stall door is to make sure nancy doesn't make any wrong moves.
Love 'em!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Dang Lacey!! You didn't corral yourself any ole' sheep----you got yourself a pure bred Barbados Black Belly Sheep!! I'm still siding with your Grandpa though......there's a goat somewhere in Nancy's family tree:-)

The summer is always nuts for me with rodeos, all our animals etc.. So I thought since I had a few minutes I'd give a little update and share a few pics! Lacey is still doing great, she runs away occasionally when we turn our back for a second, chases the goats and still hates nancy. For whatever reason she has gotten a little mean when she is tied up. We only tie her when we aren't outside with her but if ANYONE she doesn't know fairly well try's to come on our porch she goes absolutely nuts. I wouldn't doubt for a second that she would bite if someone went up to her. But when she is not tied she's as friendly as can be to everyone, we don't really understand what her deal is. I guess they say sometimes with catahoulas they can become kinda protective/aggressive at 2-3 yrs old and Lacey just turned 2. We have 2 other catahoulas though and they Are fine so who knows? My boyfriend also brought home Lacey's 1/2 sister.. They have the same mother different fathers.. Not like we needed another dog but he insists he will need her to work cows. She's only 4 months old now, and besides being a different color is built EXACTLY like Lacey, they have the same head, same ears, it's crazy! So on to some pics!!
Awwwww Lacey, Lacey, Lacey! That's YOUR porch......clearly they "rope you up" to it to guard a d protect! You use those big beautiful eyes of yours to "lure" those "i triders" up to your porch...and then...BAM! Fo get 'em Lacey!
It could be also that being a ttripawd tied up makes them feel very vulnerable. So it may be ki d of, "I'd better get them before they get me" type o thing.
And now you'vegot Bandi to play with too! Goats! Cows! Sheep! And ow Bandi! You're living the life girl! You be nice to Nancy.....she needed a home too!
Bandi, you are adorable! Can't wait for more pics of you too! "Helping with the cows?".......Yeah, that's as good an excuse as any!!
Thanks for the smiles today, we needed them.
