She is a cutie! Love the picture on the couch.
You are about a month late, but we celebrate couch day around here, check out this post: http://tripawds.....-pictures/
That second picture is perfect for couch day.

She's so cute! And it sounds like she's doing amazingly well! If she should crash a little or seem to be a bit depressed, don't worry as that's totally normal. Hopefully though, she'll just keep resting, relaxing, and doing as well as she has so far!
Keep us posted,

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Xena you are gorgeous!
Enjoy all that attention and getting spoiled, you sure deserve it.

She has had another great day! Got up into my bed and had a cuddle! She has a little build up of fluid and im changing her shirt twice a day to keep the wound clean and she helps me dress her now. Still chilling out on the sofa when shes in need of a kip if not shes bugging me for more food. She is sleeping perfect, going to the loo perfect and still dragging me along when we go outside the only thing she is doing at the moment that im not sure is normal is washing her good leg excessively, is that normal, its where they shaved her fur off to put the needle in. Tomorrow she has vets at 2pm to check her over make sure that all is going well, and to drain any fluid she may have thanks for uploading the photos Jerry! She really is lovely, the vet said that when she was coming round from the op he couldnt kept the receptionists away from her they have all fallen in love with her and think she is great. She has such a fabby personality, such a happy girl! Thanks again guys xx
A lot of dogs lick excessively especially where the cather went into the leg. She looks great. stop by the chat room some time

What a cute, cute, cutie! Keep all these pawsitive updates coming!
Jackson expressed waaaay more interest in his 'catheter leg' than anything else for days. It takes time to heal.
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Hey guys! Just got back from the vets, and the vet said she is doing amazingly! He said the wound had already healed in some parts and some off the stitches had already come away. He did a really good check over and clean then added some new antibiotic cream and another dressing so she didnt lick the cream off! She is going at 2pm on wednesday to have the rubber tube removed and another clean up and check over her fur is already growing back and we are soo happy! He put a little bandange over the paw that she was licking with some cream to help where she had made it a little red, and then to top it off eat most of their treats! Shes now back home on the sofa having a sleep after her eventful few hours i will let you guys know how she gets on!
A very smiley moma Chloe and a Xena thats having a sleep xx
Wow...Xena is an overachiever! That's terrific she's sailing through her recovery.
Libby licked and licked at her front leg as well. I ended up cutting the foot off a sock and sliding it over the shaved area. She never bothered it as long as the sock was on.
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Hey guys! Just come back from the vets again and everything looks great! She is still really happy and is doing fab on three the only thing is that my vet keeps telling me that her she only has 6 months left, even though there is no sign of cancer anywhere else? Even with chemo? I did mention that i had heard of peoples dogs went on longer than 6 months and he seems to think that are very special cases and this is very rare. Is that normal? Let me know guys xx
No one knows how long we have with our babies. There have been many Tripawd Warriors that have lived beyond 6 months. Jerry is a good example along with many others. I live everyday loving Sassy, she has 4 chemos down and the 5th march 6th. We will do x-rays at the last chemo. Plus we did them at the 2nd one. the 2 chemo was approx 2- 2 1/2 months after the first xrays in Oct in Oct & Jan both x-rays of the lungs were clear.
I don't know what your vet is thinking about stressing that there is only 6 months, there maybe then again there may not be he isn't the all knowing. Maybe he wants you to be prepared but our motto here is to "Be More Dog (or cat)" . live each day not worrying (I know that is easier said than done) but I know Sassy wants me to enjoy every day with her and not be worried if it will be her last. Your dog will let you know when that time comes. So in the mean time. Enjoy her and her tripawd journey & take lots of pictures.

Hey there, sorry i havent been on for a few days. Ive been poorly. Xena is doing great! Having her stitches out tomorrow. And then starts chemo next week. Her furr is growing back quickly and she is enjoying a good scratch as it must be itchy! A bandage was put on her leg to stop that licking and that seems to have done the trick and having the tshirt on has been great to keep her from licking her stitches! Eating fine, going to the loo fine and walking great! No pain killers as she just doesnt need them. Shes doing great and im so proud of her! Shes is being treated like a princess. Ill let you know how she gets on at the vets tomorrow and withe chemo! Also met a lady that was dealing with osteosarcoma human form and had her leg amputated and xena is dealing with it much better than she did she tells me, but she said she will needs lots of cuddles and love during chemo like she did! Thanks you guys! Xx
Hey guys! sorry i havent been on recently, my computer broke Xena is doing just amazing her scar has healed and you can hardly see it! her fur is almost all through! She has had two sessions of chemo, and she has had no side effects! Shes really strong and running like crazy with my other girls! Shes just so amazing, and we are so proud of her. She lays on the side where she had the op no problems still gives a paw, eats perfect, drinks perfect. Shes is just our girl still but now a tripawd that everyone loves (and she LOVES the fuss!) Vet said she is doing amazing! i cant believe we are a month past op and she is doing so awesome! xx
