We got the news today that Jack does indeed have an osteosarcoma.  I am soooo deflated!  The fact that his chest x-ray way clear, there were no cancer cells in his lymph node, and the tumor appeared to have crossed to the other bone made it seem like osteosarcoma was low on the list of cancer types.  We have an appointment with our Oncologist tomorrow to see what our treatment options are.  I just hope we can afford the chemo for the probable micrometastases.  He gets his stitches out tomorrow and I was excited for that, but now I'm just kind of down.  Poor little guy 🙁

Oops - I realized I named this post the same as someone else's post.  That was a mistake 😛

I'm sorry the news wasn't better, I'll be sending good thoughts your way as you have the oncology consultation tomorrow.  Remember one day at a time, that's the way Jack lives.

Oops ...

No worries. We fixed the title. Sorry to hear about the confirmed diagnosis, but it is not the end of the world. Not by any means. We did not opt for IV chemo when Jerry's doctor gave him a prognosis of just a few months. Over 16 months later we started him on metronomics and K9 Immununity when the lungs metastasized with cancer. He lived a happy life for another 8 months after that.

Best wishes for you and Jack. Thank you for the update.
