Hi Steve! You must feel so anxious not knowing the recommendation of the oncologist yet. With the pandemic, everything is turned upside down, so perhaps you could reach out to the oncologist as a gentle reminder that you are waiting to hear from them. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but balance that with being a fierce advocate for Griffin. How is Ziva feeling?
Griffin and I are sending positive vibes from NYC!
Stacy
Griffin lived an amazing life for 11 years! Diagnosed with osteosarcoma on March 17, 2020, Griffin's right forelimb was amputated on April 2, 2020. Ten days later he was running and playing fetch! Lung metastasis discovered in July 2020 did not slow down Griffin and he lived joyfully for the next 7 months, passing peacefully at home on February 11, 2021. https://griffin.tripawds.com
Steve, we have these instructions for adding images to the Forums.
If you’d like help figuring out the process let me know. It’s pretty easy:
1. Upload pics to a photo sharing site like imgur.com or your own Tripawds blog
2. Right click and copy the Image URL
3. Return to your Tripawds Forum post and paste the image URL (or the image itself if possible) in your post. It should automatically appear.
Even with an old iPad (we have one too!) and a cell phone it's doable but we are happy to assist if you still have trouble.
I'm sooo glad to see that she's happy as usual!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Finally spoke with the oncologist and my primary care vet.
Ziva goes in Tuesday morning for her surgery. I am mortified right now that I am making the right choice but I believe that's a natural reaction. The Vet and Oncologist agree this is the right first step for my girl.
After this we will do the testing on the removed limb to determine our next best course of action. Wish us luck and I will keep my blog updated as well. Pictures will be included now.
Thankyou everyone for your support and kind words and thoughtful insight. It has and will be tremendously helpful as we go through this. Steve H.

I believe it is completely normal to feel this way about the upcoming surgery. At least this is how I was feeling too. But I kept reminding myself that the other option (leaving the leg on and Arktik suffering more and more over a short period of time) was not better.
I will be a difficult day for sure but once it is done, you can focus on Ziva getting better from there.
We will be thinking about you!
Makes me want to come over and snuggle with beautiful Ziva!
With good pain management she'll be nice and relaxed and sleeping, a lot! pain management is the key and it takes a little bit of tweaking sometines.
Thanks for the pocture. She's such a sweetheart❤
