So STELLAR, pretty Ruby!!!

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. Â His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
Just TWO DAYS into recovery...UNBELIEVABLE!! You are rockin' your tripawdness perfectly!!! 🙂 🙂
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
I wanted to share my videos of my super boy Novak. I dont really have a before video in the sense that he was limping and hurt like the majority here dealing with cancer. Novak is healthy, 5 years old and got a knee fracture while in the care of a pet sitter in october 2013. He just got amputated on july 28 and he's doing amazing.
So I wanted to share My before video of him, doing what he love most, playing frisbee. This is the video of his first regional championship win in 2013, just 1 month before the accident. He ended up winning the 2015 championship as well, even with his broken knee. Almost all of 2014 was a year without competition, we did a lot of swimming, rest, to make sure his knee was better before trialing again.
And those videos are the after amputation ones!

NOVAK! He looks like he's doing so great!!!! This is awesome 🙂
Ruby is my (almost) 8 year old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She had her left forelimb amputated due to cancer on July 28, 2016 and we are on the road to recovery!
YAAAAAAAAAY FOR NOVAK!! These videos have me grinning ear to ear! Novak truly is a Champion on so many levels! 'Poetry in motion! '

WOW!
The way he handles those stairs is like he's been three-legged his whole life. Most new Tripawds will hesitate on stairs like that, including our Wyatt Ray . He was terrified of open steps for over a year and still kind of hesitates when going up.
Novak's remaining back leg looks SO strong. That boy is fit fit fit!

Thanks! Yep Novak is fit and lean! The vet said it when trying to suture the big blood vessel LOLOL I did a lot of swimming with him and a little frisbee, walks since the accident. Im glad he manage to stay fit. I knew Novak would do great with 3 legs, but to have your comments, my heart melts. Im so proud of him. That dog isnt afraid of anything, his temperament is incredible, ready to do anything, doesnt ask question, he just do it. The breeder choose him right for me. Vega, my other terv is more submissive and more soft, so for my second terv, I wanted a sport dog, wanted to do agility with him and all kind of sport and then they was Novak!
But his qualities can be a default...I mean, I will have to train him not to be a kamikaze dare devil dog, I dont want him to get injured.
Good lokking Milo indeed! A strikingly handsome boy!
Dogs teach us so much about stopping and smelling roses. They could care less about how far ir how fast they walk. But they love sniffing, sniffing and more ssniffing and just being outside in nature! 🙂
Great video!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Novak is such a PRO!!! Â I knew he would make it look effortless to become a tripawd. Â Such an athlete! Â

I love watching him, he's so hoppy about being outside again! Way to go Milo!
