Wonderful ☺️

Can’t wait to see the pawty pictures starting with the turkey and birthday cake early celebrations 🦃🎂

And on the big day Angel Eurydice might well pop by 😉 just watch out for some sudden turbulence coming out of nowhere (XXL wings flapping excitedly can cause some of that 💨💨) and some sudden thunder especially on a sunny day (her laughter can be quite epic)

Love and cuddles 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Ay, yi, yi--is that how you spell that?

We *may* delay the big celebrations to the weekend, or at least out a day or two.

The good news--at the oncologist today, Fallon's x-rays looked awesome--we'll see what that radiologist says, but Dr Ettinger thought it looked greyt!!!

The bad news--which has a bright side actually--Fallon had one of her wheezing events while there, the most serious and prolonged I had seen.  It was so concerning they gave her IV fluids and O2, as well as cool towels--her temp went up to almost 106.  We discussed the emergency vet, but didn't need it.  Phew.  Bright side is that I've been trying to describe it to our docs, and now one has seen it!!  Our oncologist thought it *could be* laryngeal paralysis--although regular medicine is not her wheelhouse.  Nonetheless, she'll send the details to our primary vet, who I got an appointment with tomorrow morning.

We've been home, after Fallon was cooled, temp brought down and breathing settled.  Right now, she's sleeping peacefully, ate copious amounts of treats, is drinking water, breathing normally, etc etc etc.

So tomorrow, on her 12th birthday, we go to her doctor.  Boo, not her favorite place.  Plus, we were cautioned to try to avoid the heat, right now, we're totally out of character in the upper 90's.

So, we'll see where this goes.  If nothing else, maybe this prolongs the celebration--our weekend is supposed to be perfect, temperature-wise!

Dawn, i am sorry Fallon is having these episodes, but I'm relieved that a doctor finally got to see it. It's awful knowing something is going on but not able to replicate so this really was perfect. Of course this means extended birthday pawties!!! Will be watching for how your visit went 💙💛💚

Oh my goodness Fallon!  The things you will do to get an extended  birthday pawty, WOW!!   Extra beds,  extra treats....yeah, you know how to play your  hoomans?

Some form of heat stroke sounds  logical.   I say that especially because  of the sudden onset of the high fever.  I wouldn't  think laryngeal paralysis would have a fever, plus I don't  think she would have been so eager to eat.  I had an older dog who had that and, yes, heat and overexertion  could cause a "breathing episode" where it was hard for him to catch his breath.   I don't  recall a fever associated with it.  I think I was given the dreaded ACE to give him should  he have a really bad episode.   Thankfully,  I never had to use it.

BTW!! YAAAAAAAAY FOR  GREYT XRAYS!!!!!!😁😁😁      That really is good news!!!😀😀     SPECTACULAR  GOOD NEWS!!!!😁😁

Gonna get Myrtle and Frankie dressed up for the birthday pawty for Fallon!  We're all so happy to be celebrating  this delightful  birthday of a very special  gal!!❤

Hugs

Wohooooooooo 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊

Today is THE day 🎈🎈🎈🎈

Fallon is TWELVE what a beautiful age, even I would love to be twelve again 😂

Bummer about spending part of the day at the vets but at least when she is back pawty can start in full swing 💃🏽

AND it will last until the weekend, way to go !!!

You rock Fallon 👍🏽

Now for the tests: fantastic news reg X-ray, auntie Teresa is beyond thrilled to hear !!!!

As for the episode at the vet, you’ve got it.

Nothing like it happening in front of them for them to realise exactly how it goes, well done Fallon👍🏽

I bet you, being the clever girl you are, thought this was the right thing to do as your Mom was struggling to explain it.

Cannot wait for pics and videos of the celebrations and of the baby girl and friends !!!

Hugs and cuddles 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Oh my gosh Fallon, you had us worried when we started reading about your wheezing event. But good move to finally do it at the vet's office! I hope they can figure out what's going on.

Now, YAAAAY! for the clear x-rays!!! You ROCK!!

And a big ol' hoppy birthday to you as well my dear. Yes, I vote we keep this pawty going all week long. You are our inspawration and certainly deserve a whole week of birthday love 🙂

Keep us posted Dawn, we are thinking of you both. P.S. Try "Ayi yai yai!", at least that's how I spell it 😉

So everything's good!

Our vet saw Fallon this morning.  She was nothing like yesterday, just her usual amount of wheezy panting.  Dr. McDaniel examined her and did not feel there was a laryngeal paralysis or any physical issue.  Her temp today was normal.  So we're attributing this to her anxiety, she is a worry wart at the doctors and often gets worked up.  Yesterday, with a long car ride and hot as hell temperatures, it went over the edge.  So for now, Dr. McDaniel gave us trazodone for her, to give only before stressful events.  We're to keep her cool in the house (as outside is super hot here, which is unusual for this time of year).  So we'll have birthday treats today, but the full blown party later this week.  The heat is supposed to break tomorrow.

GREYT call from the Veterinary Cancer Center this morning--they confirmed the radiologist saw NOTHING on the x-rays, and bloodwork was also normal!!!

AND the new bed arrived, Fallon's choosing the floor in this heat so far--but it's there for her if she wants it!!!  Of course Maggie is loving it.  Now there's a bed for both.

The roller coaster is on the level again, thankfully!

It is all such marvellous news 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I am thrilled beyond words to hear how well Fallon is, frankly anxiety is no big deal when everything else is as good as gold, right 😁?

Wish I could join you in your celebrations but I suppose Angel Eurydice will be there representing Mom here 😉

Have a wonderful, unforgettable day (I know you will) 🎂

Lots of hugs, kisses and cuddles galore to the girls 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

We had a little celebration in the yard yesterday, with birthday cookies!!  I only wanted to stay out a short time, given Fallon's most recent health scare, as it was SO HOT.

These cookies were both pretty and tasty.
