The DHA plus EPA=100 mg of omega 3s; I am not sure where the other 100 mg comes from. The UC-II level in this is fine but the turmeric and fish oil are low so you would still need to supplement since your average 50# dog needs at least 900 mg of DHA/EPA daily. Many vets recommend even higher levels for cancer or moderate to severe joint disease.
The Welactin 3TA has 900 mg in just one 2 ml scoop.

Our rehab specialist recommended Dasuquin and fish oil (Nordic Naturals for Pets) for our 1 year old tripawd, so this is preventative, before any issues. And yes, weight monitoring and control.
