Thanks for all the info folks...
I'll let you know how my new post retirement career as a GSD chef is progressing..
You have confirmed for me that carbohydrates are not essential to a canine diet, and I have put together (in my head at least) a diet plan based on your experiences, and various diet plans that you have adopted..
@Rene... Thanks for the info.... We have found an "obliging" butcher at the farmers market for beef and organ meat... I can buy chickens and turkeys from the local farmers, or piggy back on to an order with one of the local restaurants for a crate of raw quartered chicken..
Not ideal, but there are no major processors on PEI...
Have a good week people,

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the interest. We are doing a limited paid beta at the moment. The majority of our beta customers are veterinarians but the beta is open to anyone. Next month we are releasing our 1.0 version and you will be able to download a 30-day evaluation copy to see if it meets your needs. I would be happy to answer any of your questions about our product.

Hello, Richard.I feed my Golden (OSA tripawd) a home-cooked no-carb/low-carb diet, which means only yam and sweet potato, both in very low quantities. The meat part would be: cooked chicken necks, chicken liver, chicken hearts, fish, beef tongue, beef liver, etc.
I put in some extra calcium and olive oil after it is served on their dish (two Goldens). Other supplements: Johnnie takes K-9 Immunity .

Hi Daniela & Johnnie,
Thanks for the input,
Glad to see that I'm not the only one who puts all the different "parts" of the animals into the pot. Makes for a "yummy" and balanced diet..
BTW, please send some Brazilian sun this way.. The wind chill at the moment is - 18Deg C...Makes for a lot of short trips outside. Even my two brave GSDs feel the cold wind, and don't want to hang around outside for too long...
Have a good week
Richard
