My baby Cosmo who is a 9lb Maltese was diagnosed with MCT I have ordered the honest kitchen in zeal and was just curious as to what kind of meats can he have so far I've gave him (all boiled) chicken breast, liver, ground turkey meat, steak, tuna and beef roast. Is that okay to be giving him? And can he have raw meats bc he has always preferred raw steak and stuff over cooked and I figured I could add it in his honest kitchen food.
What kind of peanut butter is best to give him? That's the way we're going to try giving his meds bc right now we forse it down which I hate!

has anyone ever heard of or done the Cleos diet?

Would be be okay to supplement his treats and bones buy maybe dehydrating chicken and stuff and maybe even slice sweet potatoes for a crunchy treat? Any advice is appreciated!

We aren't vets but we are very helpful! I would encourage you to check with a vet if you want to make changes to Cosmo's diet as what has worked for others isn't for all!

Hugs!

As far as peanut butter, I would suggest "organic" and and free from.xylitol (sp).

The dehydrated treats you mentioned sou d like a great treat!

The Honest Kitchen is a good choice!! If Cosmo has been eating some raw with no issues, it should be okay to continue what you are doing. Just make sure you're informed on the safest way and safest meats to use. That said, go to our nutrition blog and check out raw food feeding. I'm not a Nutritionist and certainly not giving nutritional advice.

Have not heard of the Cleo diet.

It sounds like you're giving Cosmo a good balance of food along with the Honest Kitchen.

Others will chime in, but it sounds like you're making good choices for Cosmo. @pve the idea of the dehydrated treats!

Hugs ro you and precious Cosmo!

I am waiting a call back from the vet about the diet. Hopefully he gives me some good feedback. I just would hate to be giving him something and think it's good for him but be feeding the cancer. I've also ask the vet if there were any way we can check Cosmo, kind of like monitor him of any spreading or issues and all he told me was wellllllll uhhhhh yeah. But never told me how we could.

trying to find a better way of giving him his Benadryl and pepsid other than forcing it down. Maybe in peanut butter??

is there any kind of foods you gave your fur babies? Mine is such a picky eater and begs for anything that I'm eating.
