IMHO, I think you have to go beyond just looking for a grain free food but also look for low CARB. Because the grain free foods replace the grains with potato, tapioca, peas, etc., you still have to look at carb content. Some grains tend to increase that but some of the of the non-grain ingredients can too. Carbs feed cancer...
Here are a couple of Honest Kitchen examples. The first is Embark, grain free . Look to the last colum labeled "As Served(Hydrated)". This food(without added meat which would drop this even more) is listed as 17.87% carbs.

Then let's look at one of their other non-grained foods, Force(which I don't use on Maggie). That carb % is: 26.4%. That is too high to feed Maggie for cancer. I go by Dr. Ogilvie's carb diet number of just under 18%(which his diet btw uses brown rice).

Kibbles like Orijen or Acana are low in carbs..two that I know of.
Tracy, Maggie's Mom
Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09
Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
Thanks to all for the good info and options.
We're probably going to follow up on Dboy's amp with Doxy & Carbo...
DannyBoy is still wanting to be spoon fed and of course my 3 other Irish Setters want a taste now and then so they're observing with interst. He has taken to Evo Turkey & Chicken dry mixed at first with half can Evo Turkey & Chicken. His poo was not diarhea but loose so I have weened him down to 1/4 can mixed with more dry and with a cut up chicken breast thrown in. He seems to like this...now I just have to get him to eat it directly out of his bowl. We also changed his snacks to products with meat base like chicken jerkey. Did my research on the no grain-low carbs for cancer dogs. At this site, Evo states Turkey/Chicken dry has 11.42% carbs (good) and the Turkey/Chicken canned has .097% carbs (better). This site also gives a breakdown 3 different ways of their dogfood. Works so far for DannyBoy and I'll only change this diet if he stops liking or eating it...although his gas performances have been almost unbearable...ugh.

To follow up on this ...
The reason EVO is suggested is because it's 85% meat. Either turkey & Chicken variety or the Red meat version. It's not filled with fillers.

Hey - That is exactly what I fed my dog (EVO turkey & Chicken's variety) by mixing chicken breast in you are just adding to it. I did switch to homecooked shortly afterwards but still feed my non-OS pup EVO turkey & Chicken.
I agree that Doxo & Carbo are a good way to go. Hitting the cancer from 2 angles is a good idea.
Best of luck to you both!
