"I promised to live life for today. I did. Now, will you continue my quest?"
I was so sad to hear that my pal Sammy went over the rainbow bridge on April 4th. The world is a lot less colorful without him and his crazy photos on Dogster* to brighten our lives, but at the same time, our lives are better because of the lessons he taught us about living life to the fullest, and never letting any obstacles get in our way.
Last August, we told you about his amazing recovery from some really big health problems. Sammy was a champ, and never let anything slow him down. He was brave, and loving and an real inspawration to Tripawds everywhere.
Anytime you ever think life is getting you down, just remember the courage it took for him to live as he did, so much longer than the vets ever thought he would. Sammy's life was a gift to us all, and his memory will always live on in our hearts. He will be missed dearly.
*UPDATE: Old Dogster pages have been removed.

We met Samuel Jacob via Tripawds and received some wonderful, very funny messages from his family and him, even when he was in alot of discomfort and pain. He will always be remembered for coming up with the now classic phrase half fast .... long may you run, buddy.
