We are heartbroken to hear this news just now from Lisa, Sadie's Mom . . .
"Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I really did feel everyone's strength today. This morning, Sadie was unable to stand on her own long even long enough to urinate (she just relieved herself while laying on the floor) I moved up her vet appointment and took her in about noon. Unfortunately, it was what we feared the most.
Dr. Yach examined Sadie's right hip and knee and took x-rays. Her hip showed a lot of arthritis, and was tender to the touch. Then he showed me the x-ray of her knee and there was a very visible tumor, probably osteosarcoma. Although this area wasn't as painful to her as her hip, it was obvious that no matter how we would treat her she was never going to be able to get up, walk, or even stand on her own.
So, at about 3:45 this afternoon my Sadie Bear joined all the other brave and beautiful tripawds at the rainbow bridge. I honestly couldn't have asked for a more peacful journey for her. She had a hamburger last night, and another one this morning. She enjoyed a peaceful car ride into Vegas (I stopped along the way to take our picture). Then after her x-rays, she spent a couple hours visiting everyone at West Flamingo Animal Hospital (she LOVES to visit people). Once we decided it was
time, I lay down next to her and got the privledge of telling my beautiful girl just how much I love her and how much she means to me. She passed peacefully and was 100% Sadie right until the end.
Rest peacfully sweet pea.
Lisa, we are deeply sorry, we had hoped that the news you got today would be very, very different. Our hearts go out to you and the pack.
As heartbreaking as this is, we know that she is not in pain any more, and is in the loving care of our Tripawd heroes who have gone before her. We will miss her deeply though.
Many, many hugs coming your way….

Lisa, we're all so sad here. We're sending tons of hugs your way. We're glad that Sadie was able to go to the Rainbow bridge peacefully with you by her side. Your love for her always shows through in your posts, so we know this must be a difficult time.

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

No! No! No!
Oh Lisa! Oh, I'm in shock! My heart is crushed. I was sure time was on our side. I so wanted to meet her.
You know I'm here and you have my number. Is there anything I can do? I can meet with you.
Let's talk when you can.
I'm so devasted by this. I'm so sorry.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
So sorry to hear about Sadie. She is free from her painful body and is with all the other angel dogs watching over us. Our deepest condolences.
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
I thought we had more time too. She seemed a little less motivated to get up and walk around the last couple of weeks, but she would do it for a treat, or to get in the car. She had occasional accidents in the house, but she would still go outside. She was alert, had a great appetite, and drank enough water. She still barked at the tv, and random shadows (OK, I never said she was "Lassie" smart) She was herself all the way until her spirit left her broken body. I think that's what gives me comfort right now. It was just the last 48 hours that it was obvious there was a problem. When we would help her up, she would only stand on 2 legs. We had a feeling it was bad news. Thanks Ge'Lena, I will be in touch. I want to give you the cd of Sadie's pictures for her video. I was planing on making it this week and bringing it over next thursday, which was supposed to be Sadie's vet appointment. I can't tell you all enough how much this place has helped us. And now you're helping me though the toughest part of it all (makes the amputation seem easy )
Hugs and sloppy "if you wake up with a wet cheek tonight you know where it came from" Spirit Sadie kisses
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Lisa and Spirit Sadie Bear,
Once more I must rely on touch typing for the tears totally block my screen. I could not believe what I once saw. We were hoping so very hard that there would be another rally for Sadie Bear.
My words will not adequately say what I want to express, but we do hope that you can accept our deepest sympathy at this time. You fought the great fight, and you were able to let Sadie Bear cross over with the dignity that she deserves. This community has lost one more of our great warriors, but the memory will be with us all as we continue. Please know that you will never be totally with out Sadie because the gifts that Sadie gave you will live with you for the rest of your lives. May you find peace at this time with the knowledge that you were an excellent pair and did everything possible. Also, know that I know of the pain you feel now and that we will be here to help whenever possible. We are just a PM away.
Spirit Cherry's Dad
I, too, am saddened by Sadie's passing, but if there is a positive it would be that she had a peaceful passing surrounded by love. Sending as many healing thoughts your way as I can find. I know the next few days will not be easy ones, but your tripawd family stands with you and feels your pain. As I say to others, may the beautiful memories you shared soon replace the pain in your heart today.
RIP sweet Sadie. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Love Never Ends
"The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love." (Hilary Stanton Zunin)
May Sadie run free of pain and rest in peace. Her spirit shall live on here forever.

Sadie's final days on earth sounded a lot like mine too. I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse for things to happen so quickly, there is just never enough time. But her pain was not prolonged, and you will always have the good memories of those last days together to carry you through the sadness.
Lots of love coming your way.
