yesterday my sweet baby went to meet her sister Gypsy at the rainbow bridge.....  I've had the honor of being owned by many exceptional dogs over the years but Roane was truly special. she was my soulmate and today my heart is broken and my world is a little paler. I was blessed to have 6 1/2 wonderful years with my big girl. She taught me what love and happiness and enjoying life were all about. she was bold and funny and fearless. She was my constant companion, "mom does not go unaccompanied."

I hope that today she's whole and happy and chasing frogs with gypsy at the rainbow bridge.....

Hugs,

Bev & Nurse Moe

Oh no, I am so very sorry!!  I know you are broken hearted, you have my deepest condolences. No doubt Gypsy met her on the other side and showed her right where all the best frogs were to chase.

Sending you tons of hugs and love. Your girl will be watching over you, have no doubt. I wish there was something I could say to make it easier, but I know there isn't. I am sitting here in shock, I didn't see this coming but I have not been around as much lately. Please feel free to reach out if you want to talk.

I am so deeply sorry.

Oh Bev, my heart sunk when I saw you posted here. I am so Sorry! You were a wonderful mom to Roane, and by your post I know she loves you dearly. I know even though we prepare it doesnt make it any easier.

Just think of Roane and Gypsy at the bridge chasing frogs together once again!

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Totally understand. Mitch has been gone for 3 weeks tomorrow and it still seems surreal. How is nurse Moe doing? I think the 2 of you are going to need extra cuddling for a while. I know my crew has been giving as well as receiving over this period of time. Please be good to yourself. Roane has the bestest mama a dog could ask forsp_hearticon2

You need to take care of yourself and your little furball right now ((((hugs))))

Bev & Nurse Moe, you have our deepest condolences, we are so truly sorry. This is never, ever easy even though we think we are prepared. I hope that you can find strength knowing that you did right by her, and gave her everything a dog could ever want in this world.

Roane was a very fortunate, beautiful dog. Your forever dog and loving spirit guide will always accompany you now, in this life and beyond. Watch for signs, she is never far away.

If you feel up to it at some point, we would enjoy seeing more photos of her, and all the good times you shared. Thank you for allowing us to be part of her Tripawd journey, we are honored.

I'm so sorry to read this. My condolences are with you.

This part of the journey sucks. It really really sucks. But it can't offset all of the good times you and Roane had.

Wishing you comfort during this time.

David and Rocky (and Baxter now too!)

Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.

He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.

Thank you all for being there for us ❤ today certainly feels surreal and being able to check in helps so much.

Moe permitted me a nice snuggle and alot of spoiling. Hes such a grouchy cat i never would have believed his reaction to changes in our pack. With both gypsy and roane hes waited till bedtime to sit down stairs and howl his little heart out. He flat refused to come up to bed lastnight, he slept on the sofa just like we were doing with roane 😭

The odd moments are still getting me today. I miss burrying my face in her big beautiful neck ruffle and breathing in her wonderful doggie smell. im hoping in time ill be able to think of my love bug and smile again....

Big hugs,

Bev & Moe ❤🐾

It's truly amazing how much more they know than are given credit for.

Im so glad you got a cuddle.  I think he needs it too!

There will come a time for smiles with the memories.  In my case many times it smiles,  tears,  sometimes laughter at remembering something silly,  then more tears.  Roane will be forever in your heart.  I would not at all be surprised if you feel her beautiful Angel soul letting you know that she'll always be with you.

Bec, you still have some really rough times ahead of you and the waves of grief will come fast and heavy.   The voids the changes of routine are so hard on the heart.

We all love Roane and we were so touched  by the unbreakable bond and devotion  you have with Roane, and she with you,

She absolutely  knows how much you love her and how you did anything and everything to give her good extended  quality  time.  Yes, recovery was tough at first (moreso for you than Roane).

You did, indeed, give her the gift of extended quality  time for more loving and spoiling  than she, or you, ever thought  possible!!   She didn't  count  days, she flowed from one glorious moment to the next.  To have those extra bonis moments  meant the world to her...and she knows it meant  the world to you.  You both were able to  make sacred treasured memories that will stay with you, and with her,

We are here for  you Bev.  We feel so privileged to get to know Roane, you and  nurse Moe too.  We know we can't  take the pain away, but maybe it helps being surrouded by people who understand  your pain...and who  were so touched  by the love you two share.  Thank you for rhe honor.

And p,ease let us know how Roane  makes a connection  with you, and she will.  I have a feeling it will be when you least expect it and in a very Roane sort of way.

Lots and lots of love and surrounding  you with Roane's eternal bright light💖

Ditto everything that Sally just said, she summed it up beautifully. Just a tap on your shoulder, checking in on you, letting you know we are still here. That is not to push or be pushy... just to let you know you are in our thoughts.

Sending huge hugs and lots of love,

Jackie and Huck sp_hearticon2

Bev,

I know you are feeling very hurt right now, but please remember to celebrate Roane's life. The memories the two of you shared will become treasures and no one will ever be able to take that away.

i can't thank you all enough for all the kind words, thoughts & hugs. Roane, Moe and I were blessed when we found you all and your help on our journey has been beyond anything i could have hoped for. Just knowing that someone gets it, because honestly a lot of non dog or cat people don't. I miss my girl beyond words and at the moment I think I'm just going through the motions and praying that I made the right choices. I keep catching myself in old routines and then realizing she's not there any more!

I did find a few smiles in between lots of tears today while I was looking for the perfect picture. This gem was one of them. True Anatolian, very wary of new people and always on guard but she was a doll with my grandsons.

This was always one of my favorites sp_hearticon2 there was a very detailed discussion on frogs going on in this photo because who better to advise on frogs then a 5 year old!
