TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
Micki-
We're so sorry for your loss. The Woo was an inspiration to all of us. Tears falling for you.
Mary, Lucy's mom
Lucy's front right leg was amputated 12/19/11. Thankfully there was no tumor, but her nerves were found to be degenerative. Life as a tripawd is Lucy's new adventure!!
Oh Micki, Woo must be a beautiful angel! I'm so terribly sorry for the sadness and emptiness you are felling right now. The happy memories of your warrior princess will get you through the tough days. Please know we're sending tons of good thoughts your way! Please be good to yourself - you fought a great fight right alongside Woo - you should be proud! Xoxo Sue
We'll miss you beautiful Rio - The Woo. You brought many, many, many smiles to us during your time with us. We'll never forget you and we'll never forget your beauty and bright spirit.
Please send special thoughts to your mom and dad during these hard days ahead so that they know how happy you are in doggie heaven. They are going to miss you so much. We all are going to miss you so much.
We love you too.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. It has been both a beautiful and heartbreaking day for us. I had such high hopes that Rio would make it to her 1-year. But she was just so tired. I really didn't understand just how tired she was until her doctor gave her the sedative. She hasn't been so relaxed and peaceful in so long.
We spent her last hours making her happy. She went for a short ride in the car -- her favorite. I bought some hamburger and vanilla ice cream at the grocery store, and made her a homemade "flying dutchman." She got to eat her dessert first, then her burger. She played ball with a good friend of her's who came to say goodbye.
Although, I'm missing my sweet Baby Woo so much right now, I know that setting her free today was the right thing to do. She is so strong and so stubborn that she would have continued fighting indefinitely, but her little body was so exhausted and just wanted to rest. I could see it in her eyes.
My Rio had a wonderful life, and lived for years beyond what anyone thought she would -- me included. She was so loved. She was happy. I was so lucky to have her for as long as I did. She was a wonder. And I was so happy to share her with all of you. I'm glad she meant so much to all of you, too. That makes my heart happy.

Her last day sounds beautiful and fun - just like she was.
We are so glad you shared her with us too. She was a major inspiration! A true Warrior Princess. We will never forget her.
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Micki and Bryan -
What a wonderful and beautiful way to have a final day! Her Baby Woo body had endured so much and you released her. She will thank you by giving you memories that will live forever in your heart.
Doggie Heaven has been blessed with another amazing Angel Tripawd Warrior Princess!
Good-bye Woo. We'll miss you.

I'm so sorry that your Woo's earthly journey came to an end. It sounds like she had a happy day spent doing what she liked with the people that she loved. It really is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with you tonight. There is a peace that comes with setting free the spirit within a broken body. I know that peace will find you as sure as I know that the angel twp's (my Sadie included) are watching over us.
Lisa
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Micki, I'm so sorry to read of Rio's passing. Isn't this a great place to be in a rough time, I hope that someday the good memories you have will fill the empty feelings you are having now. Our thoughts are with you, Spirit Gus and Dan
