Charon,
He was a beautiful dog — with the most gorgeous amber eyes! I know how much you miss him and my heart hurts for you. I hope the postings of your many friends here show you are not alone in your grief.
You have a knack for making people know you are truly concerned and and like many of the others, I am grateful for your advice and support. I think you may have been the first person to post to my blog, too, and your mention of our favorite (and largely unsuccessful) baseball team created a kinship.
We can't change what already is but, on Feb. 17, please know sweet Gayle and her loving mom will be in our thoughts.
Hugs,
Beth and Spirit Smilin' Sammy

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Such a beautiful video. I love the song, and of course Gayle looks so pretty! Charon, I just want to say thank you for all you have done and continue to do here. Between the ET Juju, magical socks, and beautiful ornaments, you have help us all. I am thinking of you as well as my Sadie, because they were both February furballs, before there were February furballs. You are so right, love never ends....

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

So touching! Gayle was a dear TWP sister to so many - you & your Mom's kindness is what Tripawds is all about.
