Dear Tripawds,

My darling Pippy crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 26, 2015. It was the right thing to do for her, I keep telling myself. She struggled in the end with that damn cancer that came back, but it wasn't enough to kill her. Poor dog lost her love of life and two or three days before we sent her over, she gave up the spirit of trying. We knew it was time.

Loving vets came to my house and administered the injection as Pip laid on the ground in her favorite spot under the apple trees.

Her faithful companion of 4 years, a puggle named Max, is just now coming around to going out to the back yard. He's getting better and not as depressed as in the beginning those 6 weeks ago.

Piper has a garden of beautiful flowers surrounding her and solar night lights so I can see exactly where we laid her, as I look through my windows at night.

God bless all our Tripawds, and their Moms and Dads.

With respect and honor for Pip, and to all of you,

Thank you.

Mary Ann & Max

Mary Ann, Max and Angel Pip,

Please accept our condolences and deepest appreciation for your taking the time to share Pip's beautiful life with us. It takes a lot of courage to look back on fresh grief, and we thank you for allowing us a space in your heart as you heal from this great loss. It's never easy to lose a beloved animal but coming here for support and understanding from a community that gets it is a brave first step, and one that we hope will help you turn sadness into smiles as you look back on the beautiful life you shared together.

Do share more photos with us when you get a chance, we would love to hear more about your life together.

Mary Ann,

I am so sorry for your loss of Pippy, this is the hardest part of our journey..... We definitely know the heartbreak you are feeling. I can picture her loving and beautiful resting place in my mind, such a special way to keep her close in your heart.

May your heartache heal with time, and may many happy memories of Pip stay within your heart....

Awww . . . bless your heart. Please accept my heart-felt condolences for the loss of your sweet Piper.

The picture you painted of her garden is very sweet and I love the solar lights. Makes me think of lightening bugs.

xoxo

I'm so sorry you've had to say goodbye to your Pippy. Even when it is the right decision, it is always hard. I read your blog posts and I could tell she was really special and deeply loved.

Denise, Bill and Angel Ellie.

Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise

I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Pippy.  This is the hardest part in the journey with a beloved fur kid.  It's so hard for us to let them go and our heart aches because we love and miss them so much.  Just know that Pippy is once again healthy and happy up there at the Bridge and she was greeted by all her Tripawd brothers and sisters that have gone before her.  And you will see your sweet girl again when it's your time to leave this earth.  She will no doubt greet with slobbery kisses and a wiggling butt.

Sahana and her Angel Leland and Lucian too

Yes, as hard as it is, it was definitely the right thing to do FOR your beloved Piper. She knew she could count on you to give her the most selfless gift of love when she needed it most.

You also gave her the glorious gift of being her most favorite humans in the whole wide world who showered her with love, tummy rubs, snuggles and extra treats every now and then!

When you can, we would love to see more pictures of your beautiful Pippy. Her avatar photo sure shows a happy gal!

The lpss will seem unbearable for wuite ahile. The intensity of this journey is like no other. The void, the break in routine just plain sucks! Those last few days were just a blink of an eye in her lifetime. Jerry always likes to remind us of that...it's just a blink comlared to the thousands and thousands and thousands of days of happiness she had with you.

I love that the Bridge now has a DIA Chapter at the Bridge!! Pippy is showing them the ropes and they are all having a blast taking her lead!! She was a Goodwill Ambassador of Love here in ner earth clothes, and she's a Goodwill Ambassador of Love at the Bridge!!

Ary Ann and Max too, we are eight by your side and understand like no others can. We would love to see more pictures and hear more about the adve tures of Piper of Blue Mount! She has such an inspirational story to tell! Piper touched kives and hearts...and will continue to do so! She certainly touched ours!!

Sending love and a knowing that Pippy is surrounding you always with her love and eternal grace...

Sally and My Eternal Light Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
