When Michelle has a hand in it, it'll be fantastic! Having this to look back on and see the proof of what you and Hannah mean to us all is wonderful. If you ever doubt, Sally, just take a look.
I still think that reading that first thread ought to be required for all new members. When they come here and say they don't know they're doing the right thing or they're afraid they messed up royally, they need to be directed there. As much as Jerry's Required Reading List is a real requirement, this is the premier example of the fear-and-trepidation posts. Sally, you were scared but you laid it all out and saw an outpouring of support that continues. Now you are one of the biggest cheerleaders here.
'nuff said!
Hannah, if you're not too busy to notice, the guys had ice cream last night. And I had some mini candy bars. And Evelyn had a little chocolate disc, along with some sesame tofu. I think we're doing it right.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Ohhhhhh this is just so sweet and so thoughtful! Michelle I know that wasn't an easy job, not by a long shot. Wow, what a keepsake.
The outpouring of love by this community never ceases to amaze me. The love here is changing the world for the better, I can feel it reverberating outward. Thank you to everyone who takes time in their busy life to touch someone else here, who provides a shoulder to lean on, who is here to listen and not judge, to celebrate and mourn, to always be there.
Sally, do you see what a legend you have created here? What an incredible way that Hannah has touched this entire community? Wow.
Love this love this love this.
P.S. I agree with Shari, your first epic post will be part of the updated Required Reading List!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Sally asked me to paste this into Happy Hannah's thread, that I posted in Maggie's blog. So fitting for all our tripawds!!! Hugs to you, Sally! You are the BEST! I hope Hannah speaks to you, too, really soon in a dream....

Ok now that poem & Sally's comment has me crying (on hold with an agent at work no less). I just wanted to say since I didn't get back here to post on this last night that I was truly honored to do this for Sally & Happy Hannah. They are such great cheerleaders for us.
Hugs & lots of love

07/26/2006 - Sassy earned her wings 08/20/2013
05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.
"You aren't doing it TO her, you are doing it FOR her. Give her a chance at life."
Now I am crying (again - like I have stopped over the last several days)!!! But I love what Sally said about Jerry... he knew some good souls for sure. I like to think that Shelby is frolicking w/our angels and having lots of fun. And I think that Jerry, Hannah and Sassy (being bigger dogs) are probably schooling that little crazy mutt!
Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Naah...it's usually the little ones who put those big dogs in their place!
This was a lovely tribute. Thank you for sharing it (and Hannah) with us.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
APRIL. 25, 2015. One year later...and it seems like it was yesterday.
I come here to this thread often. It brings me comfort to know how much HAPPY HANNAH mattered to each of you.
It warms my heart to know she made you smile and laugh out loud. She just loved wagging her tail and being happy! That's who she is...HAPPY, That's what she does..HAPPINESS
This is the poignant slideshow Elizabeth (Jake, Tanner and Roscoe) so lovingly created for us. She gave HAPPY HANNAH and I the gift of celebrating our lives by reliving the glorious moments bechind each picture. I am forever grateful! FOREVER GRATEFUL!!
For HAPPY HANNAH and I to have the privilege of walking with each of you on this journey means the world to us! We have celebrated together, we have cried together, we have faced panic and fear tlgether and we have laughed together. We could never have made it through this journey without you by our side.
HAPPY HANNAH, I MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU! Thank you for gracing me with your presence and slobber for almost ten years!!

I'm so sorry for your loss, but you should take comfort, in knowing that your pooch is permanently comfortable, paws in the air, lips drooped back sleep.
Something my dad told me when I was about 10 and we had to send our cocker Riley "to the farm"
Mike, Riley was in pain. He wasn't a happy dog anymore. Since we brought him in, it is our responsibility to make sure he leaves comfortably. He is running in fields and chasing squirrels for eternity. He is home, with his friends.
I know it's tough to deal with, but I hope reminding you he is pain free and having a ball in heaven, will be of some comfort.

Mike...that was very kind of you and you painted some very comforting visuals! I hope I can get this slideshow to replicate here a d you can get to know her even better!
She's surrounded by wonderful friends at the Bridge who watch over everyone here!
