Dizzy diagnosed with osteosarcoma 24 may 2011 amputated same day doing fine hopping around on three legs giving the neighbourhood cats what for
I am so saddened to learn of the passing of your wonderful guy . . . His stories always sort of made me think about my own tripawd, Sylvia, who passed 3 days ago. There are probably as few Irish Wolfhounds on this site as there were Old English Sheepdogs . . . But Shelby's mom wrote that "the girls at the bridge are probably swooning", and I can tell you that I'm sure that my Sylvie is one of them. We always called her our "girly girl" and when she meets your handsome boy, Io, I'm sure they'll become instant pals.
My heart goes out to you . . . Know that Io loved you beyond description for every ounce of love you gave him - It's the doggy way!

Sweet Silly Sylvie, the Old English Sheepdog
Diagnosed with osteosarcoma 11/04/2010 at almost 7 years of age * Left hind leg amputated 11/09/2010 * Chemo on 12/10, 12/17, 01/10, 01/31
Sweet Sylvie's earthly journey ended on Nov. 3, 2011, one day short of a year since her diagnosis and 6 days short of her one-year ampuversary. Her family celebrates her life as a sheepdog – ever the puppy, ever silly, ever sweet – and are grateful for our 7 years together.
So sorry to hear that your sweet boy has passed on, he was a handsome boy with a beautiful soul. Our thoughts are with you.
Oh, this news saddens me immensely. I don't even know what to say about the loss of your big galloping boy except I absolutely empathize with your heartbreak.
I am so utterly sorry.
Sending hugs and whatever else you need to get through this time. Rest in peace, dear Io.
