I Can't believe how many people wrote about Rosie. And Comet Dog! I can't believe you did this for us! Thank You so very Much!! You understand what Rosie meant to us. I couldn't believe it when I saw this forum just to say good bye to Rosie! Thank you so much for all your kind words and understanding the feeling of losing your best friend. It is comforting to know there is someone out there who actually cares . Even though I don't know any of you personally. Your thoughts are comforting. Thank you so much for that!
I hate death. I've experienced loss of many pets in the past, but none like this one. Fighting for Rosie all these months has made letting her go and saying goodbye even harder. Being the primary care giver of Rosie also kept me going all the time. The let down of not being that care giver any longer is a big adjustment. It is a let down. My day revolved around Rosie, her food, her trips outside were adventures every time. I'd encourage her to take every step. I massaged her legs 2 or 3 times every day to help with her arthritis. I tried to give her the best doggy vitamins and food. And boy my husband and I learned a lot about what food not to feed your dog! That will be another comment I can't go into right now. But we intend to let all of you know what we found out about dog food. It is an eye opener. Don't feed anything with by products in them. It's junk and probably responsible for the Cancer our dogs get!
Rosie had courage. She didn't complain even down to the last hour. She just layed there on her bed on her side and looked at me. She loved me, and didn't whimper or cry. She never cried. Her courage was outstanding. But her face was stressed a bit, her belly was probably tight from the blood loss, it was bloated. I couldn't bare to let her stand it any longer. I wanted her to stay. She needed to go. She was falling asleep and the Dr. said she was just exhausted from the trip there and everything she went thru over night. The realization that all night she had been bleeding and I didn't even know it! She just layed there quietly. She was such a good girl. OUr tears won't stop. It seems like I cry off and on all day long. It will get better with time I know. Thank You!
You are welcome. Please come over here any time when you need to talk. Okay?

Hi Rosie's mom and dad,
We've been thinking about you so much and wondering how you're doing. I think it's probably been a very tough week.
Sending lots of prayers and hugs your way.

I am late joining this forum so I had not heard about Rosie. I am so sorry for you and your family. When our puppies have health problems our whole lives revolve around them, even when they are doing well we still tend to hover and worry over them. I know when Emily died I felt like I didn't have anything to do to fill my time, and I have two other dogs and a cat, and a full time job! But things felt empty. I pray that your memories of Rosie will comfort you and that sometime soon you will be able to smile when you think of her (even if it is through tears).
