Hello everyone,
Today I pick up my new Tripawd family member.
He is a mini Australian Sheppard, just one year old.
He is missing his front left paw, it happened after he was born.
(That is what his foster mom's vet told her.)
He has a story to be told and I will blog about it (Yes, I'm starting one)
Best of all, I have his brother!!! He will have a buddy to grow old with.
We couldn't be happier and this is going to be one long day until I get off work and go get him!
We don't even have a name for him yet...
Here is a link to his profile at his rescue group:

You can see the missing paw in the second and third pictures.
I am so thankful for finding this website/group!
I have been reading tons of info and learning lots.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Love Never Ends
Welcome Leah and little one(s)! ( I had a chow named Cubbie many years ago)
He's a doll! We just had another member join yesterday with a missing paw! http://tripawds.....nd/#p64285
Congrats to you all!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Wow, he's awfully cute! His little head is so fuzzy! I'm so glad you found the group here. And you have two little fellers to name, not just one, right? I'm sure you'll find the perfect names for your new buddies. They will love you for rescuing them!

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Thanks guys!
He will be in my arms in nearly two hours! I can hardly breath!
I am ashamed to say I first met him when he was eleven weeks old.
We walked into Petsmart to buy crickets for our Tarantula and walked out
with his littermate whom I've named Jake. (he has all his paws)
My husband first picked up Cubbie and wanted him.
I was the one who was not ready for a special needs dog.
You wouldn't believe the things I thought. 🙁
We have regretted not adopting Cubbie too.
I found him though and he will be reunited with Jake his brother tonight. 🙂

Hooray for you and for Cubby being reunited with his bro! Can't wait to hear more about him and see more pics of him, happy with Jake!
All the best,

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
It's Missing Paw week here at Tripawds! Thanks so much for joining.
Welcome. What a great reunion this will be!! Cubby's small size will be a big advantage as a Tripawd.
Congratulations!

Welcome to you and the little guy! He's a cutie.

Great news! I have to wait until 9/16 to get my new friend Reggie. He is also missing just a front paw! I can't wait to hear about your adventures. I am a little envious, and sad that I have to wait a few more weeks for Reggie, but it is good to hear that your new pup will be reunited with his brother and that in the end, he ended up being just where he needed to be!
Wow, all this good news! I love it!

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
Thank you everyone!
And thanks Reggies mom, hang in there!
It took us a few weeks to get the ball rolling with our rescue group.
I need to check out your post too!
He is adjusting very well so far. Loves his brother.
We named him Wyatt.
He has a few issues, he is very fearful and afraid.
(A fearful tripawd can run like the wind unleashed in a backyard!) 🙂
Sometimes a missing paw is just the tip of the iceberg with a dog.
Don't worry, there is enough sweetness in my little guy to know trust
and love will come through.
He still needs to adjust to the rhythm of our family.
We have lots to do!

Zowie! You named him after ME?
WOW, I'm honored!
Too cool.
I used to be messed up in the head too, but now look at me!
He'll come around with some good training. Be sure to meet my friend Sarah at MySmartPuppy, she really taught my pawrents how to live with me!
