I’ll start off with a little back story. T was hit by a car at 4 mo old. She had head trauma and a brachial plexus avulsion in her right front. I worked at an ER clinic. So one month later, her previous owners brought her in chewing her toes off and didn’t want her anymore. After that she had a total right front amputation. Less than a year later she tore her cranial cruciate ligament in left rear, four days later she tore her right. She had TPLOs one month apart with extensive rehab. She has been doing ok until 6 months ago. She now has one of the biggest OCD lesions(joint mouse) that most vets have seen. She now needs arthroscopic surgery on her shoulder. I’ve been hesitant to go forward with surgery because of the rehab afterward. Cart and harness suggestions would be awesome. I also would love to hear other stories like hers. She is my heart dog, she has the best outlook on life, always happy and wagging her tail.

Hello and welcome, your future posts will not have to wait for approval.

Geeze, you and your girl have been through a lot!

We've had several Tripawds here go through joint surgery as a Tri but I can't think of any who have had shoulder surgery.  There is a pup named Ziggy who had surgery on his one front leg to correct a deformity.  And here is a blog post on Surgery on Remaining Limb Surgery on a Tripawd.

As far as a harness- Here is a Blog Post on Choosing a Harness, but I don't know how any of our harnesses would work with a shoulder surgery.  Arthroscopic surgery is great so there won't be much of an incision which sometimes precludes using a harness right after surgery.

You got some great advice from Karen, I just wanted to say a belated "Welcome!" and hope your pup is doing alright. Let us know when you have a chance.
