Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Thanks Erica, we love this in the article:

"The more I’ve worked out there in the “real world,” the more I’ve come to realize the numbers reported in most studies are absolutely meaningless. In other words, with experience I’ve come to realize so little of veterinary oncology can be described in black and white terms."

Sally, as you can see even doctor's don't know for sure what can happen. I think what everyone here is trying to say is that for Hannah's benefit and healing, don't look back and only look at what you have now....a happy girl making progress bit by bit each and every day. You can do it!

Thanks Jerry  and thanks to Jill and mmrocker(?) for gping to the trouble to provide me with those sites

This site means the world to me- you are my family and my support and my lifeline.  When I get scared there is no one NO ONE for me to go over anything with (and that,s how it is --I'm ot saying it's bad at all--it's just a fact) so I jump on this site and just let raw emotions fly without any filter -- hit that reply  utton---and then see what I wrote and wish I could take half of it back!!  At the same time, I cannot wait to hear back because, as I've said before, you sustain me, You make me strong, YOU give me courage, YOU give me hope and I WANT NOYHING MORE THAN TO BE ABLE TO RETIRN THAT GENEROUS GIFT BACK TO YOU AND TO OTHERS.   Sometime, somehow' somewhere, hopefully I will say something that helps someone get over that "hump of fear" that overtakes "some" of us.  Someof us aeen't able to pull ouraelves up on our own and we reach out wherever we can.  For me, it's this sacred-and I do mean sacred site

I know every response I get is well intended and coming from a place of love.  And appreciate so much any generosity of youur time.       I will do a better job of trying to calm my own sumb self down in the fiture and gry and not drop one lf these "fear bomb"  into the site.         PLEASE KNOW THA NITHING IS TAKING AWAY FROMMY TIME WITH HANNAH AND NOTHING IS STOPPING ME FROM GREASURING EVERY PRECIOUS MOMENT.  Ans being able to go to this site and  get the fear out is what nelps me do that      I do have one mlre small favor ----how do I do the "private message" thing.   I guess I really need mot but all this stuff all over the blogs but I'm assuming so eone will let me know in no uncertain germs if I misusing  this.        Sending so much love and heartfelt appreciZtion to everyone and I so sincerely ghank you for your patience and understanding      Sally znd Happy hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

do have one mlre small favor —-how do I do the "private message" thing.

No problem! See the red circle in this image below?

That "PM" will appear in every registered member's forum posts. You can send a message to that member a message by clicking on the PM. That will take you to the messaging system, where you can also search for others members to send messages to. Hope that makes sense.

As for returning the favor here, you are! By sharing Hannah's story here, you are giving hope to others who are new to the amputation journey. So don't sweat it, you're already paying it forward.
