Ok Zeus' mom, i don't think it's weird. I can see having that momento of your pups. But I can also see where people would think its weird. I worked with a guy that thought all dogs had the same personality, so a person like that wouldn't get the locket.

Ooooooo! We could start a Monkeybutt@ <<(suppose to be a trademark sign but my computer wont insert one) fashion line of accessories for your freeze dried dog. Clothing for the changing seasons, sweaters for winter, sunglasses for summer, hoodies, boots….

MB Freeze Dried Poo for your yard

So my question is if you have a sweater made from dog hair and it got wet -would it smell like wet dog?  To Zeus's mom -I also kept a small clip of Winston's hair as a memento.  I have it in a keepsake box and I do not think it's weird.  Freeze dried -yes that's weird.

Disgusting. A corpse is a corpse, no matter how pretty you try to make it. It'd be a cold day in hell before I did that to an animal I loved.

I have a baggie full of Sammy's hair.  It comforts me when I touch it.  I had a very hard time throwing out the flowers we got the day Sammy died.  I let them sit there a week longer than I should've, because it seem to make his death permanent if I did.

As far as the freeze dried thing, oh heck no.  I couldn't imagine not seeing his body move with his breathing, not seeing his tail wag.  That would be horrible!  Then, what if something happened?  What if you accidently spilled something on it, or broke something?  Ugh.  Ew.  Yuck.  Pththth.  That is no.  No.  NO no no NO.

So.... no.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

I just stumbled on this site. I swear, not looking for it. Elizabeth, I guess if you kept him in a crib like the lady in this story you would not have to worry about him "breaking".
