I want to post this link for anyone that may find your thread Bonnie when dealing with hemangiosarcoma:
http://tripawds.....-bleeding/
Deb posted it yesterday, and as far as trying to manage bleeding with hemagiosarcoma's, Yunnan Baiyo (chinese herb) does show some progress. I would use this again in a heart beat. After Jake's 2nd diagnosis, I had 3 weeks with him and I really believe YB had a lot to do with it. I know that doesn't sound like a lot of time, but 3 weeks was a miracle for us.
I'm with you on living the good life now. I'll repost the quote I posted under Jerry's link earlier:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

I saw this while I was on vacation and couldn't respond but knew that I had to. I don't know what I would do either. I think long and hard about it and I know Shelby loves everything I did for her. I had the chance to talk about Shelby a lot this past weekend w/friends I haven't seen in a long time. It brought it back up for sure. And the defensive tone I would take when I said, Shelby was fighting so therefore so was I.... So I don't know.
I don't know what I would/will do when Jasper gets older. I can't think about it. I think I keep her just at arm's length to prevent getting to close but I know that will pass... I haven't seen her in almost a week and I do miss her somewhat. Not as much as I would miss Shelby when I traveled but I"m ready to get her home.
So I am rambling, per usual. But you have had more than your fair share w/the ugly 'c'. Know that we will always all love and support you ... no matter what!!!
Hugs and love!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
