Jilly's Oncologist was on CBS News last night and we wanted to share this FASCINATING story with you, it's been all over the internet too, but seeing the dogs learn to rest their heads on that chin thing, TOO COOL!  Enjoy :)

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Great video, Erica.

And I imagine cats have the same reaction to treats and their "people" but that it might be hidden even from the most scientific of procedures :)

Could be thinking that she's the world's most beloved kitty and that she KNOWS she's a super star!

And maybe, in that last picture......"Brudda, I'm keeping my eye on you!  If you try and get on my blankie again' I'm gonna punch you in your kitty nose!"

Here's an interesting article by Gregory Burns, one of the scientists who did that MRI study:

Dogs are People, Too

But now, by using the M.R.I. to push away the limitations of behaviorism, we can no longer hide from the evidence. Dogs, and probably many other animals (especially our closest primate relatives), seem to have emotions just like us. And this means we must reconsider their treatment as property.
