I was trying with Firefox. and I didn't get a ransom notice but l logged directly into my account and could see the picture do download. but could not the album just one at a time. The person writing me back said they know there is an issue with the download album function and are "working on it" hahaha.

...no matter where I THINK I'm posting it in my reply, it always shows up at the top of the post...Please provide an example. Reply to this post and try including an image in between paragraphs, following the steps provided by the Bucketeers. Ignore where the image appears, save the post, and we can investigate further...there is clearly some style being copied that is forcing placement of the image other than where desired.
You are using the Insert image button, in the post editor, to paste the image URL from your Media Library, right?
And not just copying and pasting the image, right?
Okay, gonna insert a photo a couple of rows down...so jere we go......

Yeah, I think we tried it every which way. I tried as Eurydice, as a new user called FUbucket, password 'bucketeer' and as myself. Multiple times. No go. If I EVER have to go through that wretched I am not a robot business, clicking for cars and traffic signs. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!

We're not bucked at all. We have Michelle's images, and Teresa has the originals. It's just there are 30,000 of them, lol. But if you hadn't snuck in and got Sally's when you did, well that would have been a bucking nightmare. 1600 images one by one. Credit where it's due Momma Purrkins.

I did try the album down load but that didn't work for me just the 1 at a time. Like I said I would like to help after I get off work. If you want me to. Anything to help everyone.
