Hey, what about your tattoos? I love them and want to see yours! Today, I had my consultation for my next ones and it will be done on january 15! 2 projects, one is a cat head mandala style on my forearm and the other one is Novak's head in mandala type as well + his actual paw print of the leg that got amputated. The artist was like a bit disgustated when I explain to her that I took Novak's leg after the amputation to do the paw print LOL I know, its a bit gore, but its my work at the vet clinic, for me, there nothing to it...ok it was weird holding his leg, but it was ok.
What about you guys? Do you have some of your pets?
The problem with showing your tattoo is that it may be a body part you don't want to show. Here is mine, trying to suck in my gut. Admin guy might have to pay close attention to this thread, he may have to censor some. This is just a horse I really like. I have 3 horses but this doesn't look like them. My sister really wanted us to get matching tattoo's for her 60th birthday (last Sept) but we couldn't think of anything but we will do it. My work doesn't allow tattoos so I have to be discreet.I would like a doggy tattoo some day.
So I thought this was a thread about dogs' ear tattoos. Errrr, no. Lol.

Nice Penny!
LOLOL my topic is not popular LOL I dont want to see body part, just the tattoo. I think that the forum is mainly use when people need help and after, they seem less active. Thats ok, its a serious thing going through that and I sure didn't want to talk about small stuff when Novak was not doing well.
Can't wait to see the "Mandala style" tatoos! Very creative and well thought out! Great way to pay tribute to Novak!
Penny! That's a beautiful tatoo! I hope you and your sister can come up with tatoos to express your bond. Nice idea.
Nah,I don't have any tatoos (yet anyway). I think they're great though. It's just that I'm afraid of PAIN!
I know some have had three paws tattooed. Angel Libby's Dad had a beautiful image of Libby tatooed on his upper arm.
And your topic is a fun one! We NEED some fun around here! Look forward to seeing some more!
Hugs!

I have wanted to get one but I hate pain/needles. I had one all picked out but have not gotten up the nerve to do it. Some have because they liked it. It was an infinity sign and had 3 paws on it. As you can see CHICKEN here lol
hugs

Yes, it does hurt but I really wanted it. Actually Voodoo it might be fun to play "Guess That Body Part." Just kidding. And like Sally said we do need to laugh and inject some humor in an otherwise often sad situation. Michelle I think you should go for it

Oh gosh, I certainly wasn't implying that I didn't like the topic. NOT AT ALL. I do hope it didn't come across like that. I was just laughing because I was expecting a dogs ear and what I got was a human stomach, complete with a very fine horse tattoo. Ditto the need for lightness and humour. Absolutely! With you all the way.

You know what Clare?
I laughed out loud when I read your post because I thought exactly the same when I opened the thread 🐶👂🏼
Would not have guessed it was about people's tatoos in a million years 😆
As for my own, that will never, ever happen.
I am right there with Michelle and Sally 🐓🐓🐓 plus I wouldn't want to have something as final as that, how about if for whatever reason I'd change my mind ?
I hear removing them with laser is far more painful 💣🔪🔨⚙🔨 that getting them done in the first place 📌📌📌📌
Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
I am very tolerable to pain, I can take it, so for me, its not that painfull, but I didnt get any big tattoo yet, so will see with the new ones, the biggest will probably take 5-6 hours and its on the rib cage, its suppose to be very painful there, will see. Can't wait to have them!
Here is mine. I got it 3 years ago in honor of Daisy & her struggle. Since her passing I have thought about adding her name to it but just haven't figured out exactly what I wanted. I have it on the inside of my ankle so I can always see it.
Sorry, I know this is not the greatest pic

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Alison- It is on my ankle but actually a little above on the "meatier" part of my ankle. Supposed to not hurt as much as the thinner skinned/bony areas I am told. It actually was not that bad. I only flinched a few times and it was not so painful that I was crying out in pain. I think maybe everyone had me all worked up on how painful it would be so I was surprised it wasn't that bad.
