laughingclap If I have posted this twice, I am sorry! I am no computer whizblush He is just so stinkin adorable, I had to show him off. Sneaking away with my shoe. We used to have to search the yard for our other shoe...as he would drag them outside with him. This is a start!

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

It's that old Labrador "not me" look. So happy to see he is beginning to feel more like himself.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Amy & Libby

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Cute picture.  I wish Addy only stole the shoes, but she likes to chew them up.  Glad he's feeling up to his old tricks.

Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury.  Her amp was on 10/1/12.  She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera.  We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.

Oh, he used to chew them up too! Only heels though. When my 3rd daughter still lived at home she lost probably 20 shoes to his antics. I had to chuckle today when I looked around his bed, the was a pair and a half. He only takes mine at this point, I think my husbands are too heavy yet. Has anyone here used Mirttzapine for appetite stimulation. Seems to help a bit, but another med?? He loves the goat milk, but the only place around her that has it is tractor supply. I bought the last one yesterday. I stooped to hotdogs today, he had a hamburger. Turned his nose up at cottage cheese. He still seems to lay around a lot. If I don't get him up, he will not get up on his own. Are the harnesses really worth it? He still has trouble if he is laying on amp. Side. I have to pick up end of bed and kind of roll him off. He did however, come into kitchen for his dinner tonight. How much should I push him to be up? I took him away with me yesterday. He is so big and cannot get in car alone, he wanted to go. My husband said he would be happier spending time with me and could lay on his bed at home or in the car. Stopped the Carafate and the excessive drooling is gone. I have made the decision, no more chemo.. Actually, my husband did , but I agree, right now , he has felt so yucky, I just want him to have some time that feels somewhat normal. Technically, he is on 2/3 metronomic, Doxycycline and Rimadyl. Just missing the oral chemo. I have at the vet's suggestion, cut his Rimadyl in half. Anyone have suggestions for antibiotic runs. I am doing probiotics. He won't eat yoghurt or kefir. Hopefully, we can soon get off the Doxy.

Gus took doxycycline off and on for about three years when he was dealing with reactive hystiocytosis. We never did have any bowel problems with him on doxy. He has been free of any skin things for the past couple of years. That is another story, though.

Can't answer some of your questins...but sure can recognize some continued improvement!! Yeah, slowly...but surely!

So Ty dis get up on his own and go nto the kitchen!! He does ave more of your shes in his bed! And he WANTED to go for a car ride! Plus, no drooling!! You're gettng better Ty. Keep showingyour momma!!

Yeah, I don't blame you fr not wantng to do chemo. You can still re-visit it as well as other holistic alternatives. QUALIT! If the meds terfere with that priority, then they do more harm than good.

Okay Ty, you keep on keepingn! We are all looking forward to each new post now. Each one has improvement

.Sending you continuing healing hugs!
