The awful images of the wildfires are weighing heavy on our minds. There are no words to properly express our heartache at what you and your country is experiencing. All of us are deeply sorry for the terrible situation.
We wish there was something we could do from here in the States and other parts of the Globe. For now, you can rest assured that your Tripawds family from around the globe is chipping in to relief efforts, and we all hope that healing comes quickly.
If anyone wants to share their preferred charities to donate to Australia bushfire relief efforts, please feel free to do so here.
One organization we feel good about donating to, especially for situations like this, is World Vets.

I am so sorry that you have lost homes, animals and human lives all because of some jackwagons who decided it was their "right" to start fires. May God Bless all of you. I will be contributing to help.

We just spoke with a Tripawds member in Australia who still has her home, but it's surrounded by fires. I asked her, what can we do? And she suggested donating to WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.). Here is their description:
WIRES mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same.
WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. We are passionate about supporting smaller volunteer organisation in the wildlife sector with the same mission, as well as Universities, Veterinary Associations and other leading scientific and environmental groups.
Here is what they're saying:
Over 4.9 million hectares of land has been burnt in NSW alone this season. Distressingly the fires in Australia to date have burnt more land that the tragic Californian wildfires and Amazon fires combined.
Speaking with Professor Chris Dickman from the University of Sydney, the updated estimates as of 4th January were that more than 800 milion animals would have been affected and this figure is rising daily.
Due to the intensity, severity and size of the massive fires, few animals survive and the loss of wildlife and their habitat is heartbreaking.
NSW is again in a State of Emergency, there are over one hundred fires still burning and there is little relief in sight with ongoing fire threats and extended drought conditions expected. For over 30 years WIRES has been rescuing and caring for wildlife and never before has the organisation experienced emergency conditions like these.
To help rescue sick, injured and orphaned wildlife please support WIRES Emergency Fund.

Thanks for these suggestions. I've already donated to the World Wildlife Fund but will also look at these organizations.
This is so distressing for all species from insects to mammals. The Koala population was already declining. This is a huge wake-up to the climate crisis.

Thanks Jerry. To know about an organization that is there and hands on and focused on only this is good to know. Just breaks my heart... all of our hearts. That video was tough to watch but important to see....the burned kangaroo...the hurt animals.... And then to see the satellite picture...unbelievable
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Yeah I was reluctant to watch the video too but made myself. I bawled. But it's good to know what is happening beyond our immediate world so that we can take action and do things to make it better for everyone...especially the animals.

My heart goes out to all of you in Austrilla . Years ago I was fortunate to visit Austrilla . Such a beautiful county as well as the people. My favorite part was the Rain Forest . The humongous trees and the cockatoos were flying around free. That is something I will never forget.
May God be with all of you...
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Here are more ways to help. I just saw these links on the Stephen Colbert Show website:
