It was in the single digits here in upstate NY last Saturday and the dogs had been reluctant to venture outside so we packed up the Camry and headed south for a few days. This was Sam and Daisy's very 1st road trip and although there were plenty of monkeybutt antics of "he's touching me" "she's on my side of the car" "he's eating my snacks" everything went pretty smooth. (According to Bob, the trip was a success because there were no accidents inside the car)

We SUV'd the back seat of the Camry to give the dogs a 1st class ride

Kilmarnock Inn Virginia

500 miles south and a balmy 45 degrees- we arrive in Kilmarnock, Virginia

Kilmarnock Inn Of the 16 rooms, these 3 are pet friendly

 Daisy says "Mmmmm- crab cakes"

Daisy and Sam give the Kilmarnock Inn a 5 paw rating. The courtyard is enclosed, they have chickens (what fun!) lots of public places to walk around including the playground with the crab, mom and dad said breakfast was delicious

The units are brand new, modern and immaculate- not a really a B and B, not a hotel but a great place to relax with the pups. There is also a vet's office not more than a mile from the inn.

Well back to the frozen northland of NY. It's suppose to be 5 this weekend………ugh
