Cadence here. Every since little brufer has entered what the humans call his "Pre-teen years", he has been really out of control. I had decided to protect his reputation and not reveal the treatment I have been receiving from him lately, but this last episode has driven me to vent to the rest of the Tripawds what I go through on a day to day basis. I knew if anyone would understand, it would be my fellow Tripawds dealing with Monkeybutts in the household.
Here I am this morning, minding my own business. I notice little brufer playing with some of my toys and I give hiim a warning bark. He immediately comes over and starts to "let me have it" for correcting him. (Isn't that what big sister's are for?)
I try to be the better dog and just lay back down, hoping he will just go away. Then this happens! REALLY EINSTEIN? My dignity vanishes like a marinating steak mom has left too close to the edge of the counter.
I can't let this happen, so I counter attack.
Ears are pulled......
Heads are bitten....
Then, I finally break out the big guns and show him my worst! Do you see these teeth? They don't call me "The Shredder" for nothing you Monkeybutt! Now shoo!
Cadence Faye: Born 10/30/04, stepped into our hearts 12/23/2004. Rear leg tumor found 7/24/11 by mom and dad, Xray on 7/25/11, Osteosarcoma suspected 7/26/11, amputation 7/29/11, Carboplatin started 8/23. Met free so far!
Uh oh, it was inevitable. I'm sorry, Cadence. The beginning of the end has arrived. He is a boy so he already has a strike against him. His brain is not as big as yours, no matter what his name is (unless it's a sarcastic name). The only thing you can do is hump him back. Sorry.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Oh, poor Cadence, we feel for you. We have one of those troublesome youths; they have no respect for anything or anyone. Good to see you holding your own.
PS LOVED the line about the steak
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
