I'm flawed, flawed, flawed!
When you grow up as the ugly duckling, you turn to humor. I want to be the funny one!
Heck, we're all flawed. And I'll take someone with a rich sense of humour and a pure (well, within reason - we're humans after all) heart any day. Besides, isn't beauty in the eyes of the beholder or is that just a full-of-poop saying to make us ordinary-looking mortals feel better about ourselves??
And what IS with these nasty mathematical equations you have to do before posting? I've lost many valuable prizes in my life because I failed the skill-testing question.

Very funny Cometdog. Like I said you never cease to make me laugh. Flawed or not you are the funny one! And who isn't flawed by the way. The day will come when I pay a visit to the Bosley Hair Clinic. I thought I would start at the top of the flawed list and work my way down.
I feel certain you have the answer to the word problem. Oh, 50 is the dreaded decade.
I really like the ramble topic. Not sure what that says about me.

It says you are demented like the rest of us

I hope beauty is in the eye of the beholder 'cause the bluebird of hunky studs wasn't exactly flying around our neighborhood around the time I was gettin' drawn up. But I tend to look at the positive side of things, I only have to buy 2 bottles of shampoo a year. Sorry about the math, I was just trying to figure out how old I really am according to the new age calender
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010

The bluebird of hunky studs?!
And how did I miss out on the new age calendar? Or is that the New Age calendar? (My sisters are big into Feng Shui). Does the new age one make me younger?? I need to know this soon because I have another lousy birthday coming up in less than a month....

Perhaps this is why I have chosen to live with pugs. I mean if you can't look good compared to a pug....

According to Kami, mckenzie and kobies' mom, 50 is the new 30 and 60 is the new 40. Happy Birthday
and just wait a year or two...I'm here to tell you that chart can change...let's see, 50 being the new 20, 60 the new 30 and and ...well, the number that comes after that can be the new 40, after that we probably won't remember which age we want to be anyway....
Perhaps this is why I have chosen to live with pugs. I mean if you can't look good compared to a pug….
Awwww, don't say that! We think pugs are cute in their own special way!
Are you doing okay, Karen? We are still thinking of you...

I had a good chuckle last night when a preview of Lewis Black's comedy special was shown - He was saying the same thing and added - "60 is the new 50! No, it's not! That's why they are different numbers!" (paraphrasing and leaving out the bad words!)

And you miss Cometdog's best material because you aren't on the blogs! Comet's mom is moderately funny. But Comet is a hoot mixed with sarcasm!
Comet's mom shudders at what she writes sometimes!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I was going to write this up to make Diane giggle, but decided I'd just share it with the group. I'm sure most of you can relate.
At Trouble's last vet visit (the evening prior to her surgery), Dr F decided we MUST take some weight off her. Well I had already made that decision and had been feeding her green beans as an evening snack for about 10 days. After her round of prednisone a while back (and the "I'm starving" routine that comes along with it) I started giving her the beans instead of another scoop of high calorie food. She soon became addicted (spoiled) and insisted on having a snack about 8PM each evening – would go to the kitchen and grumble.
Well, I switched to the reduced calorie Natural Balance on Saturday. She acted like I had cut her throat, grumbled for food for two days. In the evening she would not come to bed until she had her green beans. She would lay in the kitchen floor and whine and moan until I gave her more food AND her green beans.
By Sunday I had increased the food just a little with each meal, but still had her on the low side of the feeding recommendations. We had met a friend at the casino Sunday aftenoon, so I didn't make my normal grocery run. Got home about 7PM and fed the dogs. Both ate, all was well. Then Miss T decides she wants her snack. I ran in, checked the pantry and discovered I had no green beans. So I opened a can of carrots. She seemed to like that just fine, scarfed them right down. AND THEN – she thows herself in the floor like a brat and whines, pisses, and moans because she didn't get her beans. Would NOT come to bed. Laid in there by herself in the floor for about an hour. No amount of coaxing would get her to abandon the kitchen. I tried to take her out, I tried to distract her with play – NOTHING worked!
I finally turned every light in the house off and went to bed with her still in the kitchen groaning and whining. After about 10 minutes she hopped into the bedroom and flopped herself on the floor and went to sleep. Wouldn't even get in the bed. I guess she told me what she thought.
Now if any of you think you have a spoiled animal, compare it to this story and then reconsider. And the older she gets, the more vocal she gets about what she wants.
Oh, and I now buy green beans in the big restaurant size cans….for her highness

shanna, if only you lived closer to TN... i just spent all yesterday afternoon picking and canning green beans, and there are probably five times as many little beans soon to be picked!! trouble could come over and just graze her way through my garden... there's also a couple of nice rowed of carrots and kolrabi if she'd be interested....

So folks - the moral of hugapitbull's story...
Don't spend your grocery money at the casino!
